Sadly had to work yesterday to get today off. Off Tuesday off course. 10.5 hour shift. That was rough! Had 10 years with the Co. the 21st. We all get annual % raises in July. They are not much. I was informed yesterday that we all got 5% Cost of living increases starting next pay in Jan. Though I was going to faint. NEVER in my time there did this ever happen. So this combined with the increase in July. Not a bad start to the new year.​

I’m glad that inflation is presently at the
somewhat rather low end of the scale.

Getting a COLA raise was/is always a
welcome event. Enjoy yours; mine for
2019 is fixed at 2.8%.


Note:
For the year 2019 the maximum earnings
subject to Social Security tax will increase
by 3.5% to $132,900.

I am really glad to hear that for you. My situation was quite different this Christmas - my job was sent to India after almost 3 decades with the company. Now considering if this is the time to chase my passion me detail full time?
