Tampons for headlights, love it.:buffing:
I dunno Flash, maybe he was using a kitchen pad, but I kind of thought he was using something like the industrial Scotch-Brite Ultra Fine Hand Pad I posted the picture of.

For ease of reference I've numbered them so Fred can 'splain what we are looking at.
Pic 2 is after 10ish or so swipes with the gray 3M pad and then straight to THE MIX ... looks awesome huh!?!?!?
Pic 5 Has a little of the streaking from the MF dead center in both lights ... it dried this was and then i hit it with Mineral Spirits and then did a quick 4 stroke pass with the pad then hit it again with the highly acclaimed FC Method (sorry KB I had to LOL) and hit it with Double Roll Charmin which is PIC 4
Today we did a 4Runner full detail and I personally did the lights to show the guys my new methos and their panties dropped! When the customer came in he said he was initially going to ask us to do it for him but shy'ed away from the $99 price ... so in turn i told him that I had an apprentice do it for free and if he liked it to leave a little something for the guys... he ended tipping $35
I will continue doing this on cars (prob 10 more diff ones) on the DL for customers for free or until I come across some lights it doesnt work for or until we have or see adverse results from but from what i see i dont see it happening
and hit it with Double Roll Charmin which is PIC 4
Can you explain how you used the toilet paper.![]()

Man...if you don't know I don't think this is the place to ask...
Kidding aside, I think probably the blue Scott shop paper towels like as Anthony Orosco used in his Opti-Coat 2.0 vid are going to be the safer, more practical "applicator", but you can't argue with Fred's results.
I tried this with Minwax Urethane which I believe is similar and using the blue shop towels left lines on the lights and did not look good. Still curious about the roll of toilet paper.Man...if you don't know I don't think this is the place to ask...

Thanks, and I guess it didn't shred.Noting fancy fellas just rolled up about 2 feet of tissue the folded it over so that it showing the back part and not the fold and just dipped it in the cup and went left to right at the thickness of the rolled up TP (about an inch thick)
I wonder what other inexpensive find someone will come up with next?!?!? Peanut oil instead of Carnuba? Lol
Double Roll Baby! Lol
I can't help but think of how much time I will save with those tricky lights like these with the high offset ridges and little nibs ... Just hit em up and then wipe em down with THE MIX and ummmmm use the FC Method![]()
So your $99 special previously was a sand, polish, sealant? Will you continue to charge $99 for your new method? More? Less?
Yeah the FCD method.:applause:
Look for a YouTube video here soon ... We advertised FREE HEADLIGHT RESTORTION today and made 7 videos, each with the same method described and all under 2 minutes of wetsanding and with a slick applicAtor I discovered (not double roll Charmin)
You realize you just started the clock ticking on your patent application with public disclosure.
