My buddy has his car up for sale so I offered to polish it up for him to help it sell better. It's not the original paint and the previous owner really neglected it. Lots of deep scratches I didn't have time to take out. I went over half the car with the PC with yellow LC pad and XMT3 before I realized AIO would remove the haze and bring out the black again. Still, XMT3 and yellow pad combo wasn't taking out many scratches. I decided to try 3M FinesseIt 2 on a little section with a clean yellow pad and speed 6 on the PC. Wow, did that make a difference! We decided to redo the hood with that and leave the rest of the car with just XMT3 followed by 1, then carnuaba glaze and s100.

We were all really amazed it turned out so well. I think I need a black car next because they look so awesome when polished and swirl free :)

Holy $(*%$!!! That is one HUGE turnaround!!! They say that XMT3 is like liquid sandpaper, but MAN am I sold on what you did!!! Excellent job!!! That last shot is out of this world...

Great job man, very impressive turnaround, I really love those cars, the blue one is yours?
I have used xmt 3 too with very good results too, did you get a lot of dusting from the polish.

Very nice job!! Seeing that 1st pic and then looking at the last....AWESOME!!

Thanks guys! :)

Excessive, yep that's my blue one, all dirty from sitting outside in the storm so we could polish the black one :) Yeah I did get a lot of dusting at first. I wonder if we worked the polish down too far? I was thinking later it might have been foam coming off the yellow pad because it started to lose some chunks around the edges, lol.

I took a pic of the dust just to ask about it on here because people say XMT doesn't dust.

Nice turnaround! Great job. The dust pic, if you had used Megs, there would be 4X the dusts. XMT3 has little dust to none, its got something to do with the paint IMO on how much dust you get.

Thanks guys. I only charged him $100, lol.

good to know. I guess there wasn't a horrible amount of dust.

That's about the same amount of dust I get with SSR2.5!

Fantastic work!:applause: Nothing like a black car to put your skills to the test.

how did you work it in ? Work it in o speed 5 with pressure until its clear. XMT3 works even better when broken down slowly :)

Awesome turn around. I love that lost picture! The reflection is a mile deep! :) The XMT line offers very little dust. I think the 3 dusts the most of all of the polishes and even that one dusts very little.

Yeah I used speed 5 and went over it super slow. Like maybe an inche per second. I went over a door a little faster and then decided to go over half of it again really slow and I could see the black got even darker!

:applause: :applause: Just gorgeous.

$100? Wow. You must have spent that in product. :o

Fantastic SUPRAS!Im the MAN :awesome:

Nice job! I'm with FloridaNative, the last pic showed an awesome reflection. That car will sell in no time just based on the looks.

Kinda off topic: It always drives me crazy that people don't take care of their house or car until they want to sell it. Why not take care of what you have while you have it? There's a concept.

Your blue is beautiful! Mine was only white. I would love to see that color in person!! Don't know why Toyota did not make more of them!!
