You northern guys are gonna laugh at me but it was freezing cold 35-40 degrees while I was doing this truck. I could not close my garage door so it really sucked and the wind was about 20mph! Another thing I found out is HD Polish+ does not like cold weather at all... made it very sticky to the paint. I was happy with results though and by the time I was done, the weather had warmed up enough to take some nice outside shots!

Truck looks great, nice work! Too bad GM still uses that crappy frame wax!

Good looking truck and nice job on the scratch!!!

Haha, the temp thing is all relative. I'm sure it felt like it was in the teens in comparison to what the norm is down there.

Don - wonderful work!! I have an AMG63 tomorrow in about the same weather conditions as you described. Makes you REALLY appreciate spring, summer and fall.

Nice work! Really nice!

Looks great, donbeezy!

thanks! used the kenotek for the first time on this truck! smell was good, refreshing scent. the spray was very nice, no thick liquid. left a nice darken matte look but not glossy/shine. the slippery isnt as bad as meguiars but it still throws me off. ill have to use it on my personal vehicle soon and see how long its slippery for. overall though its my leading AIO for leather

nederland texas. on the gulf coast near the lousiana border.

is that aerosol for the frame rust? i dont see it often that like. he purchased the truck used and i guess it came from up north? does salt roads make it rust like that?

Yeah salt takes a toll but so does a pressure washer after time. Down here in Texas our dirt roads make a brand new one look 15 years old in a day. I drive GM's and I couldn't stand it. I searched google and found this. They are the supplier to GM. The frames are dipped at the factory. I use this and put down a thin layer, wait about 10-15mins and do another till I get about three coats. Our local GM body shop buys it in 5gallon buckets and brush it on after frame repairs. I prefer the spray so I don't have brush marks. The wax is so heavy that overspray isn't a issue. Beautiful work on the HD buddy!

Also if it's a '14 there is a TSB thru GM about it. A lot of the trucks didn't have the frame prepped right before dipping and it would fall of in clumps. My '14 Sierra had the problem. I fixed it myself with this. The TSB is also on Daubert's website. You might let him know.
