I don`t have a ton of experience with single stage paint. There are a fair amount of swirls and micromaring and I want to polish and seal. I was thinking Cquartz but have heard mixed reviews on coatings and single stage paints. The correction plan is set but I wanted to know your thoughts on other LSPs. I`m nervous about streaking with Cquartz and having to repolish. Thanks in advance!

How much road time does the car see? How durable does the LSP need to be?

If I was in your shoes, I'd use a wax like Collinite 915 or something else in the "durable wax" family on that beauty. Something that would provide the deep, wet carnuaba wax look rather than the candy coated sealant/coating appearance.

Re: Black 69 Charger

I'd guide you to McKee's 37 Paint Coating.

Paint Coating, nano paint sealant, ceramic paint coating, nano paint coating

Not all coatings work with or are formulated for single stage paint but you can use McKee's 37 Paint Coating on single stage paint. I did the work and wrote the article back when this coating was in the DP line. Now it's under the McKee's 37 brand but same great and very easy to use product.

I'd Blade that bad puppy out with flat black primer!!!!!!!:) Nice ride!!!!

I use the Optimum Gloss Coat and let it cure at least 24 hours. Follow with Collegiate 845. For maintaining I just polish/wax, or just wax. On my dark bronzemist paint it works very well and lasts a long time ( I check quarterly to see if more action required on the DD).

Thanks folks! It's my buddy's car and it's not a daily driver, but he wants something that'll be durable, offer low maintenance and beef up the gloss.
