Yep, another Black Bimmer....this 745i was a local trade with a not-too-good paint condition: swirls, rear bumper smack that cracked the paint, etc.

Here's some paint condition pics:

Time to start the "Toto" process. Actually, I might start drawing the product I'm going to use as a reference down the road.

I'm going to use IP after I finish the passenger side with compound and power wash the dust off the car. I wanted to try the rear end of the car with IP, so I used ONR and a bucket (that stuff is great and I'll be ordering a gallon tomorrow for winter use).

See You Folks Later

Very nice work :D Can`t wait to see the rest!

Very nice Toto. Did the wet sanding take care of the cracked paint or do you have a different plan?

Okay folks: the Ultrafina SE went on today and came out nice! Tomorrow, the car gets a final power wash, chip filling, and a coat of #26.

What will be your process for that Toto?

I've been using the touch-up + hardner and a rubber squeege (kind of the standard practice in the chip fill world). But, I've also started playing with a nice airbrush system. I haven't used one for 30 years, so I'm a little rusty, but think some of the bumper repairs on deep gouges, etc can be repaired better using an airbrush.

As I get some practice, I'll holler and show some pics.
