Black BMW X5 - Rough Trade-In

Once again you have out done yourself. How much is that going to raise the price of that truck? They should give you a lifetime contract!

Depending upon the area I'm correcting, I use 2000, 2500, or 3000 grit. Sometimes, I use 2000 to start and 3000 to smooth the rougher grit.

System One's X3 is a rotary only and I have "zero" knowledge about the Flex. I did talk to Gary at System One and he said to further polish a black car after the rotary, try the X3 with a Festool (which I have). It adds a lot of depth to the finish. Next Black Bimmer I get (boy, that won't take long with this dealer LOL), I might give that a try.

keep us informed, because from what I've seen you're one of the online masters at black detailing and in my area BLACK is a very popular colour so I want to see what works best.

You've been using Megs 83 and DACP also correct? What's comparable to it's black correction?

Most of the time, I work with 2500 grit. It's a light cut product and I can always step to 2000 grit.

I often use 3000 grit to finish up my work. But, it's very expensive for the 3M Trizact sheet ($6 each and they don't last long). The 2500 is a nice compromise that I can immediately finish with System One X3
