I just saw that. I'm going to wait and see if I can swing by and pick one up before my appointment if I can't I'll order online at another store and pick up

Are their store hours listed anywhere for Friday?
 
These platforms are great. Been using for a few years and is a lot safer than two paint buckets and a wooden plank lol
 
Dear Friends

My wife gave me one of these for Christmas last year. We intended to use it in our photography. I've used it a couple of times for cleaning and sealing the roof of our Honda Odyssey. I was very good for that. Moving it from side to side wasn't fun, so I think I'll get another one. At US$19 one can't go wrong with this.

I have the Griots and love it. I use it to reach the top of my pickup and wifes Expedition. I also use it as a working surface when polishing normal cars. It is a great place to set your polisher, towels, etc. Very sturdy.

Downsides are cost, weight finding a place to store it. IT is still large when folded. Another downside is the locking mechanism for the legs is kinda hard to use. IT isnt too bad, but, it is not real smooth. I have pinched my fingers with it.

Because I use it for detailing, I wont use it for general use like working on my house. I dont want to contaminate anything. That is why I want to buy the Werner one.
 
OSHA would crap if they saw you standing on it. 3 point contact. Be careful on those things!
 
yeah I bought my platform about a month ago and threw away the receipt, typical of me to buy at the wrong time. I paid $45 for mine. grr!
 
I'm glad I saw this thread! I'm going tomorrow morning to pick up one for me and one for my dad!

Lowes will have the Werner brand work platform that many here love to help with tall vehicles 50% off on Black Friday. When not using it to reach the top of an SUV, I even like it as a small collapsible work table to avoid setting everything on the ground.

Hey Scuba...THANK YOU very much for posting this. I got one of em today and its working great for my fiance's SUV. I just started claying the vehicle and the platform is great. Thanks again for posting this. Alot of us benefited from this post.
 
Thanks for the heads up on this Scuba, ordered one last night and picked it up earlier today.
 
So, I used mines today for he first time. One modification I will me making to it is padding the corners. I tried to step up on it and kick it by accident. Into the freshly sealed door it went. Now I got a nice little paint chip. I'm glad dr. Colorchip is sitting on the bench.
