1st time using Opt line

This car was a mess, deep swirls, scratches, deep water etchings from sitting under a tree a few times during a rain storm.

Sorry no before picks, I had a huge job ahead and didn't think. I really didn't take many full car shots as my main focus was on correction.. Better job next time on pics

The owner wanted an exterior detail only.

The hard GM CC was a pain, it didn't come out 100% perfect but as I said it was in tough shape..

The owner was very happy and called an hour later thanking me telling me he had received a compliment from the attendant at the drive thru wendy's window. They also owned a black g6 and asked him how he got it so "shiny"..

Process

Pressure Washed
DG 901 (2 bucket)
Pressure Washed
Clayed

Correction:
Hood/front lip/trunk/rear lip
Optimum Hyper Compund with Orange LC CCS pad
Optimum Compund/Optimum Polish (50/50)
Remaining Panels
Optimum Compund/Optimum Polish (50/50)

*some areas were finished down with OP and white pad for better lsp prep*

Protection
Petes 53
DG #951
Wheels & Wells
Cleaned with ARO
Dressed with 303 protectant
Exterior Trim
303 protectant

Nice job, Jason! Excellent reflection shots!!
Have you used Menzerna before? If so, wondering which line you preferred....
btw, I am coming back from Vegas now and will get your package out tonight via USPS. I was harried before I left so I never made it to the post office. Will send you tracking.
But back on topic - very nice work, Jason!

Thanks for looking!!

Lauren: I have yet to try Mez.. After working on this hard CC I realized I could have saved myself a lot of time if I had the Mez.

Okay. I wondered because everyone loves the OC and OHC but I did not.

It was great for the conditions I was in = very hot sunny day, the owner of the car did not have a garage for me to work in... so the longer work times and sun friendliness of the Opt came in real handy

For a minute I thought you took a picture of your reflection on a mirror hahah. Man, that black is looking excellent :D I just love the shot of the hood!

:iagree: I'm with klumzypinoy. I was thinking mirror. Nice work....

You gave that new PC a workout there Bud! Fine work. :applause:

All: thanks for taking the time..

Klumzy and Sparkie: That is the owners favorite pic as well...

RF: The pc took a good one that's for sure...

Best,

You would probably like them better if used them with a rotary but, with a PC it takes a real long time to break it down.:)

I bet the owner does the same thing you did in the pic, looking at himself in a "mirror" :)
