This is my first time posting pics like this, so hopefully all of them show up properly. Bike is an early 2000 Harley Davidson Electraglide. It's had a lot of daily use and the paint showed.

Every paint surface was swirled like this. I didn't chase all the RIDS since this was suppose to be a one step job.

I planned to use HD Speed on this bike but it wasn't "cleaning" up enough scratches. I pulled out Menzerna fg400 since I was in a hurry to return the bike by the end of the day. It met the customers expectations and finished out enough. I would have preferred to do a two step.

Finished it off with a hybrid wax/sealant I have left over from CG

These bags came to me scuffed and swirled by another "detailer". This was the actual reason why this customer came to me in the first place, but we decided to do the whole bike. I don't have any good before pics since I was in a hurry on this one.

Thanks for looking.

That looks great for a 1 stepper! Nice work.

That's a beautiful bike! Keep up the great work :)

Can you compound and polish a bike like a vehicle or is this paint very soft?

Job well done. I have a 2015 Black Ultra myself. It's in superb condition though.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

I didn't find this paint to be extremely soft or hard. I have worked on another black Harley and thought the tank was quite hard. However that's before I learned about Menzerna...

Once I dialed it in, I ended up using a Yellow B&S pad with my Torq. I used my GG 3 inch to reach the harder to get to areas. My orange hex logic pads weren't enough for what I wanted.

This was the first job where I successfully told myself to stop because I've already done what the customer expected. There's always more to do.
