So lets start off with what this car started off as. It came in with more scratches than you can believe. I asked what happened, the response shocked me, you know those brushes at the car wash meant to be used on tires? Ya, wellllll, her boy friend thought it would be a good idea to use it on the car. So it looked like it was washed with sand paper. So I said I can probably take care of it.

After shots look real good. Kind of difficult to see the severity of the damage before the cleanup though. Owning a black vehicle myself I know how the correct angle and lighting is required to really see the damage in a before shot. The big question is was the owner happy with the result?? Thats the only thing that really matters in the end.


Either use the sun....

Or use the halo or flash to highlight scratches..

Okay, thanks for the heads up. Ya, the owner was very very happy with the results. She said she loves the car again, and it looks better than when it came off the lot, etc etc. It made me happy, and now there are 4 more people who want their cars done. =p

I don't see your polisher of choice in your weapons photo. What technique did you use to clean this car up??

I cant afford a polisher. =[ I will be buying one soon, got any recommendations? What do you mean technique?

He is asking how you applied the speed glaze and the dual action cleaner/polish that you showed in the pics... If ya did that by hand then you will love a buffer. Keep looking thru the logs in this section. My Porter cable shows up tomorrow. Cannot wait.!!!!

Oh.. lol. Well, I started off with the #83, working it one section at a time and quickly wiping it off. First time I did this step and I was amazed. Then after that, I got the #80 and did panels at a time, waiting for it to dry, then wiping it. I used a foam applicator pad. Then I used some all-purpose towels to wipe it. All-in-all, worked out well. But I was looking at a new wax, whats with Fuzion and why is it almost 200 dollars? Does it make each car you use it on into a super german car? Those silly germans.. lol Buy seriously though, why so much? Any recommendations on a cheaper wax that works great?
