I sent my car to good detail shop for washing nowadays while I out for lunch or shopping which cost me 10bucks. It's the best dollar I ever spent. Can always touch up or apply spray wax/sealant when I'm home

Yes sir, 10 dollars for a good handwash + microfiber mitt with soap brand like optima or DG etc.
3 bucks for road side wash which they use unknown soap (i believe detergent mix) and beat up store sponge. We have lots of car wash shops here. I kinda picky and observe how the workers wash other clients car before I sent them mine
You can say that again..
Honestly though if I had a smaller car, say a Civic or Corolla, it wouldnt be as bad. Never again anything full size, no way, no how, no chance...:nomore:

I wish I would have seen this thread before I bought this over the weekend.
Can anyone recommend some products to to wash, clay, maybe do minor correction and seal it? I have a Griot's polisher and a bunch of store bought clay, soap and some heavier cutting compounds. And is there anything to protect the plastic parts to keep them from getting chalky looking down the road?

Hey guys, new to the forum. No pics yet, but I own a black 2013 Ram 1500. My wife and neighbors all think i'm crazy as much as i'm outside detailing it LOL
Southwestern Pa winters are brutal, so here in a few weeks i'm taking it to a reputable local detailer for a good wash, clay, polish and wax, plus interior and engine bay cleaning.
I will say that I see a metro master blaster in my near future, or the new blower I've seen for sale on here.

Optimum Car wash soap,
Your store clay should be fine, buy the standard OTC Meguiars Quick Detailer and use liberally when claying,
LSP, or sealant is subjective at best, but the Wolfgang high gloss paint sealant is good, as is Sonax Polymer Net Shield on Black.
For trim, Carpro Dlux for extreme longevity with good looks (+1 year), Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant for ease of application and pretty good durability (5-6 months).
