Long time hobby detailer, mostly have used Zaino. I try new products every year to keep things fresh, Most recently have been using the Ultima PGP, Collonite 845 and the dura gloss line, then back to Zaino as a base. I couldnt resist the claims of Opti-coat so I took the plunge. One word.... WOW! Spent about 5 hours prepping the car (wash, clay, wash, dry, polish, inspect, polish again, IPA) I used the Optimum finish polish with the black foam pad for the polishing, Paint was in decent shape. I Achieved about 95% correction. I thought more, but after applying the Opti-coat I noticed some minor imperfections. I'm not super concerned with 95% as it's my daily driver, not a show car. This was tough for me as I get my "peace" from shining up my car but I purchased the Optimum car wax to put over the opti coat. What else are you folks using to top tOpti-coat? Here are some pics.. Application was pretty easy (I'm used to Zaino, lol)

Thanks! I love this stuff. I am so glad to took the plunge. I was extremely hesitant for the last 6 months or so.

Looking good, man. I'm in the market for Opti-Coat 2.0 myself, but much like you said, hesitant to take the plunge. I love detailing my car and keeping it clean as possible, but the summer storms in Florida are keeping me from doing anything. I finally washed my car yesterday after 2 weeks of crazy rain. My car was really filthy and took extra effort to clean despite having 3-4 week old Menzerna Power Lock (two coats applied no less than 8 hours apart), gave the car a good rinse, then foamed the paint and it let it dwell and stay on the car as I washed it. Seems like every time I turn around, the MPL isn't as strong. Within the first week or so, the paint is so slick from the MPL, but that quickly wears away and it seems like the paint is hard to clean. Maybe I'm over-thinking it, I don't know. But I'm really considering the OC 2.0-- I just want to make detailing my own car a little quicker with less hassle. I've got the paint looking great, better than the day I bought it (brand new silver 2013 Scion tC), so I'm in the maintenance stage of all of this, but I'll do some polishing if I decide to go with the Opti-Coat.

Let me know all the ins and outs if you don't mind. PM me or something.
