Hows it going i came at this porsche knowing it needed some love but wow love was not the word !
Here is a before and after video on youtube (huge transformation)
(Should have filmed with phone sideways i messed up badly i apoligize)
https://youtu.be/S-u6v0SrzmQ
As i walk in the garage i see this beauty , and when i take out my light and examine the paint she was screaming
"help me bring me back to my glory days in 2003"
I knew right away that this paint was abnormally bad, and that means its probably butter soft.
I took out my G21 put on a burgandy meguiars foam cutting disc. And menzerna pf2500
The machine would wobble on the paint not smooth like the characteristic of the machine, it was acting different.
The polish was gooey to take off, i knew that i was dealing with soft, sticky paint and as we all know, those paints do not like heat and long throws.
After getting the polish off and examining i seen alot of da haze and a crap load of buffer swirls i knew i had to step down.
I then tried correcting pad and 2500 all on lower speeds and different pressure. nope, then polishing bad and pf2500 nope, the bottom line i tried to get the long throw to work to cut time i couldnt.
I then busted out old faithful the machine that started me off and taught me this crazy hobby and buisness, the porter cable 7424xp.
I slap my 5 inch plate on and griots correcting pad and pf2500. Spread my product. Smooth as pie while polishing no un comfortable wobbling i finish my pass.
I wipe off easy as pie. I inspect a little haze but overall great.
I try sf4000 and the correcting pad and as i could of did it it would have taken too long how damaged this car was.
So i went with this plan of attack:
Portercable 7424xp
5 inch plate
5.5 inch griots correcting pad
Menzerna pf2500
2nd step
Menzerna sf4000 and perfecting pad
And menzerna powerlock sealant as lsp.
