That Vet must be straight out of the future

Just kidding I know.. simple typo

Looks Awesome Mike !

If only I could keep my black car in such shape. Daily driving GTI lasts about a week in top form before you start noticing things again.
Love/hate black.

Is there any color that DOESN'T "pop" after you've touched it??

Stunning work, we'd expect nothing less!

Just to make sure there's no mis-conceptions...

I buffed on the Mustang in the pictures above and restored a show car finish to the hood during the Mustang Club Meeting here at Autogeek.

The owner of the Corvette brought it by for me to take a look at and evaluate the condition of the paint. It was already getting late into the night by the time the Mustang meeting and demonstration was over.

I did not work on the Corvette except to wipe it down with Detailer's Waterless Auto Wash.

I wiped the car down so I could see what was wrong with the paint and all that's wrong is some light swirls. (so far).

This is why we do two types of makeovers here at Autogeek,

  • Extreme Makeovers
  • Show Car Makeovers
The difference being is cars in really bad shape need an extreme makeover and cars in pretty good shape only need a show car makeover.

Both need work to take their finish back to the category #1 as outlined in my how-to book.

#1 Show Car Quality

Plus the owner wanted to know how to "touch" it into the future, for example how to wash it etc. so as not to inflict swirls and scratches.

You can expect to see the Corvette back here at Autogeek in the near future.

Is it an ls7 427 or an actual big block if its a BBC I think we are gonna need some pics:xyxthumbs:

It's bone stock so that means it must be the LS7

My mistake, when I asked the owner if it had a BBC 427 he said "yes", could be he didn't know I was talking about the real deal like I have under the hood of my daily driver...

This car will be back and when it is I'll take a picture of the engine compartment.

So the LS7 "427" is a small block?

That would be a yes!!!

All aluminum small block and they are weapons. There are a few C6Z06 in the 10's with nothing more than drag radials! I still would rather have a big block myself :dblthumb2:
