Black Wow Review!

The look has fallen off quite dramatically, don't you think?
I guess it was not that great of a pic. It has fallen off some but it still looks good. Next week I will get some more pics...

wonder if a little QD on it would revive the gloss some.
I was hoping to try some out at DF3, but I didn't see it there..
This is a new product for me, so as of right now I don't want to mess with it. But that's a great question...

Do you have any pics of it before the application Sparkie? I would like to see the difference between the pre-app pic and the way it looks now. Thanks!
Sorry buddy I don't. Wished I thought of taking some before pics....

Today is 4/9/08. Black wow is still holding up after it rain three times this pass weekend and it was washed today. It has drop off a little and some spots are showing...

Still looks good to me Sparkie. I used it on some trim , it's been thru 3 rains and 5 weekly washing with ONR and it still looks good. Like you there are a couple of spots than show some wear. Over all I'm pleased with the results. Never found a trim product that lasted more than a month.

5/16/08 It is all gone! Good stuff....

Great review....wonder how it holds up in higher heat areas (under the hood)??

Thanks Sparkie. You covered everything that I need to know. Looks like thumbs-up.

Did all the plastic under the hood 3 mos. ago and still looks like I just put it on with a tad less shine.

so verdict is that it is a good product and last about 2.5 months?

Hawaii is pretty harsh, i'd guess so 2 months tops here. Thinking about getting this for the cowls on my cars as well as the plastic trims on the frontier and cherokee.

I have used this several times lately and not as impressed as prior. First it can streak unless cured properly. Second, it does lose some luster after hard rain. Love the watermelon smell however.

it still outlasts any other trim dressing I've used up to date. And I love it's watermelon scent as well!

+1 on that!

Try washing after applying, no streaks after wash. Been on my side mirror trim and wind sheild wiper cowl for 3 months and just starting to show a few light spots. Like supercharged said, "it still outlasts any other trim dressing I've used up to date" end quote. Amen to that.

perhaps it should be polycharged...gto me thinking...hmmm...

I have used BW a few times and had great results...its all in the prep of the plastic....I wash it with APC or even prep sol to get everything clean of prior products..then I wash the plastic with soap and a magic eraser..to get any oxidized plastic off...then I apply BW and let it soak in.....I do another coat abot a hour later....then I wipe off with a damp MF.....I wash the car after..THEN I lock the BW in with another trim product..sorta like a clear coat on paint...I use the DG 201 over it...its a polymer type vinyl product....

I did a Ford with the famed Ford fade...I did it in either Oct Nov...I see it every day at work..and the trim is still nice and black...I told him to hit it again with DG 201 soon....

you need to get the micro pores clean so the BW can really sink in...and than lock the BWin..let the other product take the hit

Al, I read this some time back that you posted. I had it on for a few weeks at the time and was too lazy to top it with DG 201, but I will do it next time around. Thanks for the tip.

From what I'm seeing/hearing, this is the only product that works well enough for Ford trim, I don't know what the heck Ford uses in their trim but it rejects basically every product.
