Black WOW

To be quite honest, I've never tested BW with other trim products. But if you find it works better by topping than using it alone, that's great! :D

Good tip on the prep--good prep is crucial to a long lasting finish, as we all know about paint. :D

Richard

Budman..when I did the bad trim....after a week I used a trim product over it....and it still looks great....I think I used the DG 201....on my ATV the fender flares were faded also and I use BW on them and after a week I used Megs #40 i believe and it sits out most of the time and they look great....I think the added trim product sort of locks in the BW and keeps it looking good...works for me anyways...

BW is great stuff...

PS....I found using a Magic eraser over the oxidixed trim first really made a difference....took off the junky stuff and made a nice surface for the BW to work on...

Richard..I think as your product as the paint..to give it the looks..and the trim product as a sacrifical product to take the beating....sorta like a clear over paint..make sense

Now the Ford truck I did was in late August and i see it daily...and no fade has returned...and it was topped with the DG 201.....which is a silicone polymer product...

Interesting idea! I'm always open to new uses and suggestions. Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. :D

I noticed in one of the pictures that Black Wow was used side by side versus Aerospace 303 Protectant. It's easy to see which one looks better, but does Black Wow also provide protection against future fading caused by UV as the 303 claims to do. I currently use 303 on all exterior and interior plastic trim and am very happy with it. It seems like Black Wow is intended for exterior use only. Is this right?

Yes, BW protects against future fading caused by UV. And yes it's recommended for exterior use only because it can be slippery when used on surfaces that you might come into contact with.

It certainly has uses on certain trims that my non abrasive glass based trim polishing cream won't work on and for that I congratulate you richard on a great product
I haven't had the need for it as of yet as my permanent trim polish has worked permanently and on all of them so far, since it's not a dressing

Ed from High End Detail let me borrow some of his black wow to restore the tail light brush guards on my RR Sport. I am impressed and will order a bottle on my next AG order!

I have included some before and after shots.

Great pix! Let me show a few more from the Jeep pix.

On BW treated plastic this is what it looks like when wet.

Check out this tire shine applicator thats really handy and lasts forever. It has a flock foam on it, so it doesn't fall apart after 2 uses. I've had mine for 4 months and it hasn't even torn at all. I has a handle and replaceable pads. All of the products are environmentally friendly (green as they say).

Are there any rules on this forum for pushing the sale of your own products? I've been on plenty of forums that are pretty strict on not allowing this kind of thing.

this site is soley designed for the benefit of PBMA customers as its affiliates like AG. We do not allow outside linking, sales, or even resales. The idea of the forum is to express how to use the products AG sells, and ones that might not be worth their weight in gold.

Well, after reading all this - I'll order some next time. Got to see how I come out at H&R Block!

Dont waste your money with H&R block, do it yourself with Turbotax and spend the cash you would have paid HRB on AG products :)

I use to go to an accountant, till she put my address wrong on both the state and Fed, ended up getting my refund at the end of May, so I bought Turbo tax the next year - really made a mess of my return, I ended up going to H&R and got back a lot more money than I ever did before. Just my experience - and once I find a place I trust - like AG, I stick with it.

I few shots of half a tired F150 grille treated with Black WOW....
