It looks like time will not allow me to do all of my truck at same time. I have to clay, correct & polish each panel after work so I may have to do it in sections which I’m guessing will take about 2 weeks. Will the coating be good for that long once I open it? Longer if I can’t get it all done in 2 weeks?
 
I don't know the shelf-life characteristics of your particular product but here's a suggestion that can help and be applied to almost anything...

Acquire some smaller containers that you can transfer the product into once you've opened it. The shelf-life of nearly any product will be longer if you can minimize the volume of air (oxygen) in the container. The smaller containers will allow you to do that.

Another option, although less readily available (unless you happen to be a welder), is to purge the container with argon before re-sealing it.
 
Wrap the top with electrical tape and throw it in the fridge crisper tray. Will last a long time.
 
Even better, get a can of Bloxygen to remove oxygen from the containers before storing the bottle.

But then again, if you’re talking weeks, I think you’d be fine. It’s months and many weeks that some ceramic products start to have issues with crystallization.

I never knew of this. Basically it's just argon packaged in a consumer friendly can. It should work great as long as you can dispense it slowly enough.

You want the argon to "pour" into the container and push the oxygen out (argon is heavier than oxygen). If it dispenses from the can too quickly it will not displace the oxygen as efficiently.

Clean the top of the bottle before resealing the bottle. Reseal it tight and put it on your shelf inside to keep it out of temperature extremes and you will be fine. The shelf life should be fine after 2 weeks. At a minimum I would say 6 months but you will have to see how it behaves at the time frame to see if it still usable or has started to become difficult to work with.
 
Selfish side question for OP: does your BF coating bottle cap wobble around or turn freely when closed, even though you haven’t opened it yet? Mine does and it obviously has me wondering if oxygen can sneak in there. Hoping my top isn’t defective.

Sure its not just one of those double safety caps?

I would think if it was really a loose cap then the product would be leaking out.

Yeah, I’m sure it’s a double-safety of some sort, I’ve just never had a coating (or any small bottle) with one of those tops. So was hoping for confirmation from someone who has used it that it’s normal. I didn’t trying opening it before sealing in a ziplock and putting away. But I heard normal liquid in the bottle when I shake, including now.

Yes mine was a bit loose as well. Guessing there is a seal on top of bottle or it would have leaked during shipping.
