Hey guys,

I am almost out of Collinite 845 so I ordered some BlackFire Crystal Seal from AG. After reading some reviews, I was quite impressed with the idea of giving up some durability in exchange for a significant reduction in application time. I can't wait to see how it does.

What kind of durability are y'all seeing with Blackfire Crystal Seal on DDs? I live in a fairly mild climate. I was seeing 3-4 months with Collinite 845 on my DD.

Thanks!

If you're only seeing 3-4 months protection with Collinite 845, I wouldn't have big durability expectation with BFCS.

You should order some BFWD, then top with BFCS. You'd get the shine AND durability with that combo.

I'm routinely seeing 60 days in the Florida climate. It is so easy to apply another coat every 2 months that level of durability is fine with me....

I'd say this is fairly accurate for what I'm seeing in the midwest too.

With a surface that's been clayed and polished, you can easily expect 3-5 months. Using a good car wash and detail spray will ensure it meets expected durability.

As others have said, with as easy as the product is to apply, you'll find yourself applying a coat (or two) every couple weeks just to retain the bling factor.

Parking outside in the harsh Louisiana summers, I only get 1month but the quickness and shine are worth it.
