Hi all, I applied a coat of BFWD followed by two layers of BF midnight sun just over a month ago.

I've been SUPER impressed with the looks, by far the best product I've used in that department. But I'm not terribly impressed with its water behaviour. We're heading into winter soon here in Australia so I'm looking to strip the BFWD and apply an LSP which (imo) has more favourable water properties.

My question is, is Blackfire gloss enhancing polish sufficient in removing the BFWD and MS? I'm only intending to do a once over with the polish. Would any additional steps to remove the old sealant be required? Not planning on claying and using abrasive polish as the paint is in satisfactory condition.

Also, since the new sealant is not from the blackfire family would an IPA wipe down be required post glaze/polish and pre LSP?

Thanks

Wash it with soap let it dwell on there for a little before rinsing. Then eraser then collinite. There other chemical ways to remove sealant, but you should be good with this method.

"Use Gloss Enhancing Polish to remove old wax, clean the top paint surface, visually reduce swirls and deepen the paint's gloss prior to wax or sealant application"

Yes it will remove wax or sealant on paint.

You are heading into winter in Australia??? Why can't I comprehend this???

It will remove the old wax or sealant :)

Great. So on the fourth point I take it an IPA wipe down won't be necessary?
