I detail on the weekends. Had a 2017 Black Cadillac CTS which are known for notoriously soft paint. I did a test spot with a few of my favorite 1-step polishes for paint on the softer side(Optimum Hyper Polish, Sonax Perfect Finish, Scholl S20 Black). They all looked great under my handheld inspection light, but once I pulled into the sun, that told a different story. Very noticeable toweling marks on all 3 test spots. Tried different techniques with no luck. It was very frustrating to say the least. I decided to give Blackfire One Step a shot. I taped off a large section that had toweling marks from me, and did one side with BF. Wallah, that did the trick! Being that it's very easy to wipe off, that's what I think helped. I remember Mike Phillips mentioning this. BF One Step is good stuff! Saved the day for me! Just an FYI, I've worked on a couple of late model black Hondas which hazed pretty easily, but were not susceptible to towel marring. Soft paint, but not as soft as late model GM black paint.

Good to hear more about this one. I have a sample coming with my last order and look forward to trying it out!

I was speaking to a fellow geek on the phone last night. He mentioned that he’s been using it a lot lately and loves Blackfire One Step better than HD Speed.

Again, I’m not here to speak for him, but I am basing this on what I was actually told.
