dengood1 said:it's likely a clone of Souveran as the owner used to be partners with Max(owner of AG). Stick with Souveran!!
klumzypinoy said:Plus Souveran has more oz of waxand the tub looks better imo. Plus, after looking at pics of the "BF", it doesn't look hand poured...
FMINUS said:And how can a you tell by looking whether or not its hand poured.
Why would I care if it was hand poured or not
Blackfire comes in 7 oz container instead of 8 oz like Souveran. Keep that in mind. Getting Souveran in a kit can give you some savings.FMINUS said:Right now BF is on sale so its actually cheaper per oz.

Why would I care if it was hand poured or not, and who cares what tub looks like?
Thejoyofdriving said:I dont know whats up with the "hand poured" wax either. Its probably some sort of marketing gimic, maybe it sounds cool, idk. I guess all it means that its poured in the can by hand, which is kind of stupid because machines can do it faster and better.
killrwheels@autogeek said:just like they can paint cars better also huh ??? (faster, yes better, unlikely) The reason Souveran is hand poured is so it doesnt cool to quickly and lump. Do a search I posted the 10 most asked questions on Souveran about a year back.
I have seen the new Blackfire Wax and it reminds me of SSII and CG 50/50 in looks. It doesnt have the Souveran glow, but I am sure when Capt Max bought the final rights to Souveran from Terry, there was a contract where recipe could NEVER be duplicated. I too found it amusing that Terry originally used the ad copy with Souveran and Klasse in it, and got yanked quickly for over embellishing his new product.
As for the Blackfire sealant, Four Star UPP and Wolfgang look better and are just as easy to use.
I still dont understand, that doesnt make any sense. "The reason Souveran is hand poured is so it doesnt cool to quickly and lump" ok, I dont understand why a machine will make the wax cool to quickly and lump, in this case a machine could do a better job than any person. Please explain why I am wrong.killrwheels@autogeek said:just like they can paint cars better also huh ??? this might help a little more , see question on "expense". Part of it has to do with a second filling after mid cooling.
