I was wondering if there is a difference between the Blackfire and Wolfgang paint sealants. I want to use a sealant as a good base before Pinnacle Souveran or Wolfgang Fuzion

I ordered a sample of each and I've been waiting for a warm day to completely clean the car and see what they're all about. Initial impressions are that the BFWD is significantly more watery than the WGDGPS. Both are praised for ease of removal, and are strong proponents of "less is more". There's been a few comparison threads, and one really good one on a truck that sat outside all winter with the hood split in half with each sealant.

this debate goes on and on, however blackfire will usually win but not by much, and blackfire is supposed to buff off slightly easier, just from the numerous threads I've read

Here is one test that a member conducted. Very interesting! In addition do a search and you'll find another thread with many responses on this topic as well. Between these two it should answer your questions. I had this same interest last spring and the below thread really helped me.

Wow this is a great review...I have been using WG...now it has me wondering about BF....:props:

Detailed a 2000 4runner with Menzerna Fast Gloss Compound FG-400 Menzerna Super Intensive Polish IS-1500 topped off with WG 3.0 I have to say I was very impressed with the Deep Wet Gloss. I will be posting pitures later this week. First time using WG 3.0.

Looking to increase my collection off sealents and BF is on my list to try.

there is a difference and they both rock, but you likely only need one at a time in a personal collection. Now if you prefer a different look every so often, grab them both.

:iagree:Stay with one if you already have it and diversify your arsenal with other detailing weapons. I love BFWD, but recently reused WGPS (2 coats) and it was like holy cow why did I leave you reaction.

:iagree:.....I dont know if other members on the forum think like this....But I am always wondering....."Is there a better product than what I am using"....maybe I overthink stuff way to much...

The only problem with this line of thinking is you need a big wallet and a warehouse to store all your detail belongings...

On the subject at hand, I have both and prefer WGDGPS.

:iagree:Yeah, such is so true.....I use the WG...I know its good stuff....so I will stick with it.....:buffing:

-I remember that: A couple, short years ago...
Just 'saying' Blackfire...on AGO...
Was considered as blasphemy, by some folks.

I own both, use both, and honestly, you really can't go wrong. Nod to BFWD just because it looks so good on my car, of course just my opinion! But yeah they both rock. I like BFMS & BFWD Combo, but nothing beats WGDGPS & Fuzion combo.......standalone BFWD in 2 coats if a wax sealnt combo is desired, Wolfgang combo again my opinion! fuzion is too fun:)

How you guys think menz pl compares to these sealants?

i actually am wondering how they compare to Zaino as well.

I like both. I find BFWD a little slicker. also another one to consider is 4Star UPP. I like it better then the other two. it is not talked about here enough. I find it slicker then BFWD. and a little easier off. but you really can not go wrong with any of them.
