Blackfire Wet Diamond Paint Protection Question

Well I put a coat on last night. That has to be the easiest on and off of any wax or sealant I have ever used.

Its sitting on a heated garage out on the family farm. I just reliezed I missed a couple spots. But it went on so easy and came off so easy.

Going to put bfwd on the spots I missed. Then put 2 coats of wax on the car. Should look amazing when I'm done

Question is do you guys let the sealant remain on for 8 plus hours and then wipe it off for it to cure, or
do you wipe it off the hour later and let it cure 8 hours before adding a second coat or a wax?

You apply, let is haze (maybe 15 min), then remove. Let it cure for 8 to 12 hrs.

Any idea how long BFWD is supposed to last? Is it as durable as Klasse AIO?

It's more durable than Klasse AIO, though that's not saying much - durable isn't a word I'd use to describe KAIO.

BFWD is a great sealant, but when I'm looking for something durable I usually reach for Duragloss or Collinite.

I slap it on pretty thick, and let it dry so it passes the swipe test, just like every LSP I use.

How many layers? And is your car garage kept, what kind of conditions is it exposed to?

1 coat...It sits out side 24/7 since I live in a townhome between DC/Baltimore...It is however put on a clean paint and is allowed to haze for one hour then breathe for 12 hours before applying the wax...During that time I wedge the car into my 1 car garage but other then that its outside and washed once every 2weeks...

I might have to give it another chance then. First one wasn't very successful.

Wow, that's better than I expected. I can get that out of Klasse AIO but wasn't expecting it out of BFWD. I'm getting my Fire and Ice, Ice over Fire...whatever it is kit that includes both WD and the carnauba wax tomorrow!

Wait, you're applying a wax on top of BFWD? Honest question - how do you know that the protection you're seeing is from BFWD, and not the wax on top? Also, any spray waxes or QDs used during that six months?

Yeah I missed the part where he said he also put wax on it. And there's no telling if he's using spray wax once a month or every other wash.

How do you prep your paint? I don't believe in IPA wipedowns.

I put a layer of fuzion on the bfwd and that's it. I wash with glossworkz or gold class. No spray sealants, waxes or anything. This last time however i did not add fuzion and it lasted since June until i stripped it to detail the car last week. Beading was still tight on all paint and glass. I have sworn by bfwd since PAC owned it. It speaks for itself

I do a clay with luber and IPA wipedown before i apply. I compound and polish every 6 months with megs da followed with P085rd before sealant and etc.
