Blackfire Wet Diamond vs. Blackfire Crystal Seal

Coating need a squeaky clean surface so using a qd interferes with a coating trying to bond with the paint. After the coating has cured qd all you like but not before. That's my understanding.

yes I agree with you, but we are talking about for buffing off coating after application.

Do you know if we can spray some QD on surface and then buff coating ?

Not sure I understand the question. If you are talking about applying the coating to a panel and then lightly buffing off any high spots, then no as the coating has not cured (it's at the infant stages of curing) and the qd may interfere with the coating. This will cause the coating to fail much sooner. You want the coating to stay moister free for 24 to 48 hrs it takes to cure.

when I buff wax/ sealant, I spray some QD and buff if over dried or if applied too thick, and wasnt sure if it was okay to do with coatings.

Thanks!

This is what I thought, therefore I never sprayed anything over the coating for removing high spots, besides a clean short loop mf towel.

There are cases, when it is a wet type of coating system, I use a damp mf towel for obvious reasons.

Sorry, probably I got it wrong, I thought he was referring to removing streaks in a coating procedure.

Yes, it was my fault, I mistook BF Crystal Coat with BF Crystal Seal.

Sorry about the misleading in this topic.
