I typically order one LSP every time i make an order. Just looking for opinions on these two products.

Thanks! :xyxthumbs:

I thought blacklight was a glaze with maybe 2 weeks worth of polymer protection.

Blacklight is an AIO from what I understand. It is a sealant with very mild cleaners in it. I've seen a review showing durability similar to other sealants (4-6 months).

Maybe we need a CG rep on this board to sort out their products, lol.

BTW I heard blacklight is dating Paris Hilton!

I don't know about 4-6 mths but 2 months for sure

I would put Pete's 53 OVER Blacklight...you won't believe how awesome it will look. Blacklight can be topped with any sealant or wax...

Two different products. I use Blacklight as a AIO and have put 53 and 50/50 over the Blacklight, but prefer not to layer them.

You will get 1-2 months with Blacklight and 2-3 months with 53 or 50/50.

Blacklight is very similar to Optimum Poli Seal and D151. It will clean the suraface, super light polishing, and seal with an amazing shine.

I currently use both. Blacklight is god's gift to detailers. I can even skip my jeweling process of using a gray pad and a fine polish...all in favor of a gray pad and Blacklight.

It's literally EZ creme, with sealant and cleaning properties. Love it. I have topped both off with Petes 53 and Fuzion to great effects.

To the poster who said that Blacklight topped with 53 is amazing, wait till you try blacklight, Hybrid V7 spray, then 53 or Fuzion..... even better.

If you use it like you suggest, how long would you let the blacklight cure before topping with a wax?

BL says can be topped after 15 minutes but I'd give it a bit longer...

it stains trim btw, so be careful

Yeah the directions say 15 mins, but I've topped it after 15, 30, and even a few hours (had to go do something else). But I haven't seen a big difference in either, if at all. Applying it with a buffer also speeds up the cure time, esp at a faster speed. When I use it as a final polish AIO, I'm at speeds 5 to 6 with a gray pad.

Just did the Black Light and Pete's 53 Combo last night on my Kawasaki Z1000.

Here's a picture:

The bike is small, so I applied by hand. BL instructions say let it sit for 15 minutes before removal, and at that point it came off effortlessly. You're supposed to wait another 30 to "cure" before topping, I got to like an hour after cleaning up all my supplied and lubing the chain.

After application, I let the Pete's 53 sit for about 15 minutes, then buffed off. It took a little pressure, then I remembered- instructions say to apply then remove shortly after. I may have left it on too long, but the end result is still nice.

Went over it with the Hybrid V7 afterwards, to ensure there was no residue.

So, 1 coat of BL? V7 spray 1 coat ? Then wax? What is your in between the V7 and the wax?

I use all three of those products and can say they all work well together, and come off easily. First time I used the BL by hand but next time it will be with a pad and a GG6.

So BL has no cleaning abilities? Because i want to try top this over WG DSPS
