Blacklight or Petes 53?

I called CG when I got my BlackLight because I was confused about using it as an AIO. They said it doesn't have any abrasives so the the abrasiveness comes from the pad.

here's some unedited non-hdr shots showing pc/blacklight/gray pad, then topped with V7, then topped with Pete's 53.

Anyone know if u can top BL over Fuzion? And put another coat of wax over o.O? Like petes 53?

Blacklight is nice but I still never seen the durability others have said, for an LSP I would go with Pete's

You usually want to go sealant first, topped with a carnuba.

But if you're feeling frisky, you can try it the other way too!

yes, Blacklight has sealant properties, so it's more durable than a glaze, but still, I wouldn't use it as a long term lsp. I top mine with a good nuba (souva, fuzion, or petes). But still, I'm not concerned with durability. In fact, I was PURE LOOKS, and if it disappears in a week, all the better. I get to use more LSP's then :)

I treat my LSP's like a buffet line. I try a little bit, and then move on. If I like what I tried, I come back, but I always try something new :)

What did you think of the smell?

I did the BL/Pete's on Sunday.....woooowwwweeeeeeeeee the garage smelled great :dblthumb2:

I've used the Blacklight/V7/Pete's 53 combo on both my wife's VW Jetta (Metallic Gray) and my Toyota Tacoma (Jet Black).

First, I've only used the products by hand, so I cannot comment on the DA application. The blacklight was a very smooth process by hand. It doesn't seem to fill in swirls as well as say Pinnacle Paintwork Cleanser, but it's rather more of a sealant. The V7 is amazing all the way around. With Pete's, I do one section at a time, and don't let it sit for very long. My experience is that if it dries, it's difficult to remove. I've applied Pete's using a quick WOWO method, and the results were still slick as snot.

Overall, the results are exceptional, but of all three products, I would like to try a different wax with the blacklight and V7 combo. I've got some Dodo Juice Purple Haze arriving today that I'm hoping to try with the blacklight/v7 over the weekend.

Here's some pics of our cars after the CG blacklight/v7/Pete's trio.

^ Try Fuzion on top of that, or Supernatural. They all look phenomenal. With Blacklight and V7 as a base, you can't go wrong.

Interested in how you like the purple haze you have coming, update please?

Thanks,
Larry
