Apparently it works great at correcting paint too
Well, my son and I have been very busy today trying out the blind samples we recieved from Jon (mchess1); thank you Jon. Here are our findings:
Shampoo - Seems to be very concentrated. Directions from Jon said to use a couple of capfuls, so we did. Not really any smell to speak of. It seemed to be an ok soap (but not one of my favorites), there were a lot of suds that lasted a long time (I know suds aren't really important, but I do like to see 'em), and the lubricity was pretty good. Can't really comment on cleaning power, as my sons car was not real dirty, but it seemed pretty good. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate it as a 3.
Sealant - Test vehicle- My sons 82 Datsun. Paint was polished earlier this spring. We clayed the car and cleaned the paint w/ PPCL prior to applying the sealant. The only other sealants that I have used is WG DGPS and UPGP. (It's neither of these). Directions are to wipe on, let haze and buff off. It went on easily, and buffed off pretty easily as well. I deliberately put some on extra thick just to see how it would remove, it did remove pretty easy, but not as easy as WG DGPS does when overly applied. I also deliberately put some on black trim, it did not stain it but once again it seemed harder to remove from the trim then WGDGPS. It left the paint looking good, shiny, and smooth feeling. I will monitor durability and report back later.
QD - Pink in color, no real smell to speak of. I have to admit I know what this is (it's my favorite QD), I'm sure it's FK-425. This is a great QD and there is always a place on my shelves for a gallon of it. No streaking, high lubricity, and leaves paint VERY slick:dblthumb2:
Exterior Trim Product - This stuff smells GREAT, smells like coconut. I have to admit that I know what this is too (it used to be my favorite trim dressing until I discovered UT&TG). It is still my favorite trim restorer, but not dressing. I'm sure it's PB World Trim Restorer. IMO PB WTR is still the very best for restoring neglected trim and molding, but UT&TG is my favorite to use on maintained trim and molding. The PB WTR will restore neglected, fadded trim to a rich, dark look. (Here is a before/after of PB WTR):
Ok Jon, can't wait to find out what everything is, please do tellIm the MAN
I got a package from mchess 1! It had a liquid wax and a Leather Conditioner (LC) I tried the liquid wax on the wax went on very easy. It smelled fantastic! Bubble Gum I think, Damn these aromas are so good I want a shot of it! Let it haze a few minutes and wiped. It was as easy to wipe off as anything I have ever let haze! Very nice slick finish after, Would I buy it? Yes. I dunno what it is. I havent ever used a liquid wax. I would guess PB Natty Blue. An ounce did the whole car! Tomorrow I will see if it attracts dust. If so, I dont think it will be a pain like a nuba paste to get it off of. OK, John, the ball is in your court buddy!
Okay, here goes Tad.
Shampoo Sample is Dodo Juice Shampoo, Dodo Juice car wash, sour power gloss enhancing shampoo - Sour Power is not my favorite shampoo either. Glad to see that your review is similar to my experience.
Sealant is Poorboy's EX-P Pure Sealant: Poorboy’s EX-P is revolutionary in the world of paint sealants. poorboys paint sealant, car paint sealant, clear coat As with most of the Poorboy's products except the polishes, I am a big fan. This "pure" sealant is one of my go to sealants as well as WG. It also does a great job when a 'nuba is layered on top of it. Natty Red does a great job on top of it. Let us know your thoughts on durability!
QD - You were right, I tried hiding the bright pink color but you knew it was Finish Kare 425 Extra Slick Final Body Shine, finish care quick detailer, ultra slick detail spray I love FK425 also and it is the only QD still left in my arsenal. Of course, Old Tiger is predicting the end of QD's, so who knows I may join the Old Tiger/CEE DOG bandwagon too.
Exterior Trim Product - Again, you were right it is Poorboy's Trim Restorer: Touching up the trim with Poorboy’s Trim Restorer provides the final polishing step in your quest for the perfect finish. I know I have posted my opinions about this product before, but the PBTR and the Ultima product will serve you well regardless of the condition of the trim.
Glad you liked the samples!
This sounds fun, how does one join in the trading, or are you guys just doing it between yourselves?

Walmart in the shampoo isle.
Hey Dwayne, I received the "liquid wax" from you! Curious if I could layer this over a sealant, or should I strip my existing protection? Anyway, will hopefully be giving this a try if the weather cooperates this weekend.
And be looking for a package from me in the next couple days.![]()
