Blind Samples

Impressive soap!!! I should have a chance to use "B" tomorrow.

Glad to here you liked it. It's one of my favorites (in the top 3). I really LOVE the smell when I'm washing, I also like how light and airy the suds are. It reminds me alot of Pinnacle car soap. (wich btw is currently on BOGO):dblthumb2:

Can't wait to here your thoughts on "B" ...This is fun Im the MAN

Now that you mention it, it is a lot like the Pinnacle soap. Normally I use DP and keep forgetting I have a bottle of Pinnacle

Today was time for car wash sample "B"

It didn't seem to be near as slick as sample "A" and didn't suds up as much when washing the car. Sure it did a fine job at cleaning but I would have liked a bit more lubricity in it and a bit more suds.

Waiting on Tad for the name of this mystery soap.

On another note, while rinsing the car I was reminded at how well WGDGPS sheets water. My drying towel was hardly even damp when I was finished.

OK, here you go...Car wash B = Duragloss 901...

I must say that I really like both soaps. My favorite three are:

Pinnacle
Wolfgang
Duragloss 901

Dwayne, I just finished my job I was working on a bit ago. Gonna go try your koala wax in a minute.

Tad, did you use Ultima wash yet?

Have you tried DP yet? I find it to be much slicker then DG.

Yes, I used up 1/2 gal of DP this summer and I still have about 2/3 of gal of DP extreme foam (I use in the foam gun). Both are great shampoos, just not my favorites....

Yes I used it a while back, IMO it too is a great soap, just not one of my favorites.

Mini Review: "Blind Koala Wax"

Slickness: D-
Streaking: A+
Scent: D- No comment... Put the following two words together (Your in)
Color: Clear
Beading: More then with no wax at all but less then DG AW
Sheeting: More then with no wax at all but not close to DG AW

I used the DG Aquawax to compare this against so the grades above are relative to that.

I sprayed the BKW on a clean dry panel that had absolutely no lsp on it and buffed it in. It was really great as far as no streaking issues. (Envirnoment: cool panel and in shade) However the BKW added very little slickness if any. To further test it I sprayed a bit on and buffed off an area that had DG AW already on it. The area actually became less slick after applying BKW.

I then sprayed the panel with water to test for beading and sheeting. Both were above that of no lsp but below that of DG AW. After the majority of water came off you could visually watch the speed of the drops that were running down. They would actually slow down when they hit the BKW area.

So what is it Dwayne?

 OMG you really put it on paint...

OK J/K :)

You pretty much got the same results that I did.

Its a product made by Jax Wax (google it) called Body Shine Showroom Spray Wax. I picked it up at a Super Chevy Show last year from a vendor selling all of the Jax Wax products. They were calling it an QD at the show but I'm going by what the bottle says and it clearly says Showroom Spray Wax. I really didn't have any streaking problems either and one of the main reasons I even tried it was because they were using it on a black hood in the sun without streaking. I have seen this stuff around some of the bigger car shows in Ohio and Michigan. I think they are based out of Columbus Ohio.
