I recently purchased the Porter Cable for my mobile detailing business and the difference I get from my customers vehicles are night and day. I would recommend this to anyone that takes there detailing seriously and wants to take there work to the next level.

Way cool!! Glad you like the PC 7424 XP. I have had it for a few years and enjoy it!

If you ever want to have the same results even faster to make more money look into the following DA's:

Flex 3401 VRG
Rupes
Griots Boss

All 3 will help you make more money if that is a business you want to grow.

If not that's cool too! Glad to see you are happy!

It's my fav too.

It paid a lot of bills over the summer, and came through on some clutch situations.

yes, machine polishing is the way to go!

pick up one of each and you'll have the twins... :dblthumb2:

I've been using mine for a VERY long time.....10 years maybe. Same polisher.

They are like an 'old Timex'...takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

I'm with you BillE, i've abused mine over the years accidently of course and it's still churning out work. My problem is that i want a Flex BAD but am waiting for this thing to die!

And if you're blown away DJ941 think of how much your customers will be too!

There is nothing you cannot do with a PC.

In my experience this holds true. It can sand, compound, polish, wax, scrub carpet.... Massage shoulders...

Of could only have one machine it would without a doubt be the PC 7424xp. Not the Griot's, not the HF, not the Megs, not the Shurhold, but the PC.

It's my "old faithful".

lol, i still have my G100 (re-badged PC7424) after all these years...

If Chuck Norris was a DA polisher I think he would be a PC! I remember the first time I properly machine polished a vehicle and how blown away I was by the results!

I just bought two old school 7424 1st gen machines. One was new in box (2007), and the other was maybe used once (2006).

I got the one first because of historic implications. It was the first widely used random orbit tool, so I wanted to have one for myself as a nod to the history of the craft.

I picked up the second one because I wanted a back up to the first one!

The XP is my go to though.

Glad to hear you are enjoying it! I just ordered mine last night from Autogeek. I'm Canadian and I seen the price at $229 the package I bought I believe. I'm like "oh that's not so bad", I forgot it was american money and didn't realize that it was actually just over $300 Canadian after the purchase lol.

Either way, I can't wait for it. Very excited :)

I know the PC is the "little brother" of the polishers, but its smaller size and ease of use are to me, just what I need. I know any discussion on the PC leads to others recommending the "bigger & badder" units, but for the very light correction I need on my personal daily driver Ram truck maybe once a year, this thing is a dream.

Also, (and I know this sounds crazy to most pro's) I feel that the less I'm grinding on the clear coat with a muscle polisher and still getting great results with the PC, the better I feel. ;)
