Is there any blu-rays fans here? I use to go on Blu-ray.com a lot but been so busy lately I haven't posted there a year.

I got about 100 blu-rays movies and pop in a movie when I'm not working at Lexus or detailing on the side.

I got a 55 inch LCD with a 5.1 system, Polk's M60, M40 and CS2.

Any other hardcore movie/home theater lovers here?

I am, I don't have as many movies on discs but I have about 350+ on my HTPC. I'm on a 52" LCD but a new plasma is on the way and for audio I have a Denon 3808CI pushing Infinity floor standings, klipsch center, surrounds and a klipsch down firing 12" subwoofer.

Damn thats lots of movies! I stop buying movies after I found out about torrent. >=D

I wanted to upgrade my audio equipment but that will probably cost 2-3k which I do not have lol.

I also have my eyes on Element Design A-2 300 which is a 12 inch sub that cost 415 :(. That sub is a MONSTER!!!

We head out every Friday to the theater.

Big movie fan, need more movie going out friends.

Started my BR collection late since I didn't purchase a PS3 to replace my PS2 till spring of 2009. Have over 300 DVDs and around 50 BRs.

I just got a 60inch LED TV for 60 percent off. Eventually i'm going to put all my movies on my server and just stream them from any tv, computer or phone.

I'm trying to sell my blu-rays, even consider trading products. LOL

Wanted to buy some camera stuff and need extra $$$

You better buy another shovel to dig your way out of your deep pockets if you go into photography. That's an expensive hobby.

Yes it is :( I'm about to click purchase for a 15-85mm lens. Someone please stop me. Seems like a great deal on a refurbish. 600 shipped compared to new for around 760.

Right now I'm using T2i gripped, kit lens, 55-250, and 50mm 1.4

I like me some blu-ray movies. Not looking to buy right now though....however, I am waiting for the rest of the James Bond movies to go Blu-Ray! Been waiting for the rest for over a year.

Any Quentin Tarintino movie is that much more epic in blu-ray.Im the MAN

Yeah I got both Kill Bill 1+2 very fun movies to watch.

Want something epic? Get Band of Brothers on blu-ray!!! :dblthumb2:

I may one day.

"Inglorious Bastards" and both of the new batman movies are pretty epic on the Blu-Ray.

I really want to get "A Clockwork Orange" now that the 40th annivirsary came out on Blu-Ray.

Are there any torrent sites that are safe anymore? I used to download a lot but got an email from my ISP last year to let me know that I can either stop downloading or face the consequences. :(

Lol that's the exact same setup that I use. Same lenses and camera. I have a few flashes though. I'm about to pull the trigger on a 17-40 f/4L lens. It seems to be a fantastic landscape lens.

On the subject of blu-rays, I don't have a ps3 so I don't really buy blu-rays. Besides, the gf's parents buy every movie it seems so I just watch theirs.

I have about 200 blurays, 800 dvds and around 400 movies on my mediaserver...

I have a 60" Sharp Aquos LED flat panel, a pioneer receiver and a klipsch 5.1 with powered sub setup...

I love movies...

Ok, here's a slightly off-topic question. If I'm watching FiOS I usually have the volume at about 15-20 (out of 100). If I'm watching a disc, and it doesn't seem to matter if it's Blu-Ray or DVD, or if it's on my stand-alone player or my (sort of) cheapo Home Theater player (different brands) which are both connected by HDMI--I generally have to turn the volume up to 100 and that's frequently not even loud enough. If I were to turn it up that loud on the cable I'd be like the guy on the Maxell commercial. I just don't get why the audio level seems to be so low from the disc players.

Anyone know of a good home theater setup forum as good a AGO is for car detailing? I want to set up a projector theater room. I'm planning to spend $10,000 when all said and done (includes building the room).

Blu-ray.com has a good forum. Has everything you need to know for picking out your home theater.

Anyone? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to say on a public forum.

There is so much crap coming out movie and music wise these days that I don't buy anything until I can preview it fully via some source. If I like it, I buy it. If I don't like it, I am not out $10-$40.
