how was the clearcoat on that car by the way? my mother is asking me to do some polishing on her car and its the 325i version with the same paint color.

The clear coat was hard. I did a 2 step compound: first with wool, then finished with foam cutting pad.

so can i do something like menz sip with orange and then 106fa with white or should i do menz sip with wool then 106fa with white. assuming its moderately swirled

I haven't used the SIP product from Menzerna. I'd probably use Power Gloss if there are scratches in the surface, (wool or foam..you should experiment), followed by 106fa with a polish pad.
