This car is silver but I still did a double polish on it before deox-wash and waxing it. The pictures were taken in a hurry by my junior partner but the guy who is selling this was pleased and gave me extra cash to buy flowers for the Mrs.

looks really good

Thanks Scott, I really appreciate it. I used to work for a detailing specialist but needed a break and got an industry job. Got back into detailing at a car shop about a year ago which sells Bmw and Mazda. Bmw wants our company to put less time detailing the cars but in this country the conditions are a bit harsh for cars with our winter. I try to develop the skills and Edge pads has been a blessing when I found them.

Your website looks the part. Would you like to share any information on how much time you use for a car this size?

Thanks again. Daniel

Are those cloth seats or Alcantara?
I think it's Alcantara, sorry for the quality of the pictures. They were taken in a hurry. It's the sport seats of the E39.

Looks good Daniel.

You and Toto are in the same boat with the BMW stuff.

Man, that seems to be pretty fast! How the @@@@ do you manage to work that quality so quickly?

Sharp car, she's looking good!

Great looking work Daniel!

Silver is one of my favorite BMW's to recondition...very forgiving, unlike Black. I've had my personal 330Xi for several months and all it really needs is a gentle wash and quick detail.

One of the benefits I have working for this independent dealer is I have no time constraints (unless he has a pre-sold or quick sale car). I can take my time and do it 100% right.

Anyway, good to see another Bimmer detailer here.

Toto (gonna be hot in Kansas...90's...but I'm not complaining cause the shop is air conditioned!)

Thanks a lot for the comment. I think I put 5-6 hours on this and it was done outside regular hours but it's still the same job for me. I'm 37 now so I will not lower the standards. We are a BMW dealer so we are very busy with detailing. The exterior was....well, lots of tar stains and what not. Thank God for clay bar. The interior was dirty but that was not too hard. Do you wash off the polish? I worked this with 3M Finesse-It and Edge green wool pad, then 3M 09376 with Edge white wool pad. Wax was an English brand with 60% carnauba.

Very nice, I never liked silver before untill I test drove my new baby...I enjoy silver now, such a nice color when it's detailed properly and very shap looking IMO.

Great job!

I'm not worthy, man. Silver is a color which you can get away with some minor flaws on, but restored properly it's really nice.

Daniel, I'm enjoying your details so far, keep posting them. How about some larger pics with befores and afters?

So you work at a BMW dealership in Sweden? Give us some more info!

Oh, and is that your X5 in your avator?

Is there any way to get it down to 4 hours with a PC?
Are all you guys with the quick times using a rotary?

No man, it's not mine. It belongs to a friend of mine and it got 3 layers of protection. I work for a BMW dealer but they do not give me a good offer on a car so I cannot afford to drive one.

I'm sure you can get down on the time I use but I do it with a rotary unless the car is too cheap for it.
