This very sweet BMW 550i belongs to my Uncle. He is leasing the vehicle through my families leasing company and since he lives about 2 hours away from Louisville I saw the vehicle before he did. I told him about the new Opti-Coat and how he wouldnt have to wax his car for the whole lease term. He loved the idea and gave me the go ahead.

It was great working on a brand new car as there wasnt any polishing to be done.

Process:
Foam w/ Power Clean
Wash w/Dawn
Foam w/ Power Clean again (there was absolutely no beading whatsoever)
Dry
IPA wipe down (Just 1 to make sure)
Apply Opti-Coat (Pro version)

After I was finished with Opti-Coat I applied Gtechniq G1 to his windshield and rear window. This is some great stuff and very easy to use once you figure out how to remove it.

I only have finished pics as I didnt take any during the process... lazy I know

Now here is the windshield after G1. I have found after you apply it and let it sit for 10-15 min when you are using the remover wipe it on a section immediately wipe it off while it is still "wet" it comes off like a breeze. If you dont catch it while its wet then it gets to be a bear to wipe off. If you have the process down it couldnt be easier.

Thanks for looking guys. Any questions or comments are welcome.

Very nice job!

The white just shines under the opticoat.

I agree with the G1. The method you use is the same way I remove it. Fantastic product.

Overall, beautiful job!

Wow! That white really pops! :xyxthumbs:

The coatings are going to really help people that want to just seal it once and forget about it.

Thank you! Ya G1 and Opti-Coat together are a nice combo IMO. If you just do the windshield with G1 you can get quite a few of them out of one bottle too.
