BMW Mike is at it again....

I might need to get some FG400. The most abrasive polish I have is IP2000, which may not do the trick. Either way, I hope to finish up with either SF-4000 or 4500.

Thank you for the info.

Pick up a bottle of it. You wont be disapointed. It cuts very well and if given a few extra passes it finishes up beautifully.

SF4000 will finish up whatever was left behind by FG400. I have yet to try and see if SF4500 can finish up after FG400.

Very nice Mike!! Looks great!!

Thanks Jace!!!

That looks great! That blue is stunning!

I'm still fighting swirls and not enough pads...just bought LC Hydro techs for final polish and glazing. I melted my first pad! Too much product...too much speed.

Have you had good luck with that wheel dressing? Does it stay on the tires well and not fling off?

Awesome job!

Thank you sir!

The Hydro techs are fantastic pads for the D/A. I recommend these for the D/A and the hybrids for the 3401. Cut your speed down to 5 for cutting and 4 for polishing and then after your pad is primed then only 2 or 3 small drops of product are needed for the buffing cycle. Also place the drop of product at different locations around the pad every time you complete a buffing cycle. When adding the drops always place them around a 1/4 away from the edge of the pad. A tradition D/A will pull the product towards the center of the pad while it is in operation.

I do have very good luck with this dressing. Proper cleanliness of the tire surface is important to keeping the tire shine on the tire and not down the fenders.

I like your garage too :) Nice work on that beemer. Great color too.

Wow, the color difference is remarkable, great work.

How did I miss this one?? That BMW's paint looks WET. Love the variety of products you used to get the job done. Everytime see examples of you work, you make me want to pull the trigger on some LC HT's. Your garage lighting really gives your work justice, as sometimes the outdoor weather isnt exactly the best when taking pictures. Professional level results from Mike as expected!

Thanks Aaron. The car sure was striking in person when I was finished with it and the owner was thrilled.

You wont be disappointed with the LC HT's. This a great alternative to the 7.0 soft buff pads. Pick up a few and let me know your thoughts on them if you do.

I really enjoy the lighting that I have put up. Sure lights up the garage.

Just too clarify this!

bimmer=BMW cars

Beamer/Beemer = BMW motorcycles

Love the color!great work mike! she sure looks wet!

Thanks for the clarification Anthony. I missed it.

Thank you for the compliment!

Yeah I used to be really active on the BMW forums but I find myself coming here more then ever now, I was going to join Florida Suncoast BMW CCA but I really see no need. How new is bimmerpost? I just checked it out and went into E39 sub forum and there is only 300 threads.

I always check out the news on the home page of Bimmerpost every morning. Bimmerpost is newer than the others you listed. When it was first started it just had subforums for the current models. Just about a year ago older models were added to the subforum hence the reason of only 300 threads for the e39. I also spend much of my free time here on AG as well.

I joined the CCA for the magazine Roundel (Which can only be had by members), membership discounts, as well as the local chapter and get togethers.

A very nice job on the bimmer Mike. congrats :dblthumb2:

Great way to get new customers too, once they see yours, they'll be lined up on the street. It'll look like an overflow for a dealership!!

Thanks Zaid. Pick up the LC HT's. Very nice pad and easy to use. Glad I could help out.

Thanks Steve. Actually it has been a bit of a pain with the local BMW enthusiasts. Most talk the talk but few walk the walk. Its kind of frustrating to say the least. I wish they were lined up.
