I have a PC 7424. Can I use the LC 6.5" pads with it?

I swear I read somewhere that a counter weight was required..

PC should stick with 5.5" pads. 6.5" pads are more for rotary's or Flex 3401.

the counter weight based on size is a bit of a general rule, it is really for the weight of the plate.

I have both, and tried the 6" one several times, feels like the PC is going to come loose in your hands.

If you are trying this with a cutting pad or orange pad, you might not get as good of results as a 5.5"

If you are looking for finishing pads, that should not be an issue ( less working around mirrors and the like with the larger pad ).

Don't use 6.5" pads on a PC. Trust me.

The counterweight is needed to offset the acceleration loads the pad/bp create.

The counterweight is based on the use of a sanding disc and not a polishing pad. That said, a 6.5" pad is just too much pad for the pcda and it gets very little done unless you merely intend to spread wax/sealant.

Are they ok for the GG6? I just got one in December, but haven't got any pads for it yet and thought this would be the perfect opportunity! Also I'm pretty sure I need some Orange pads. If I can only get 4 pads total, what would be good to get to start? My goal is to take out scratches and swirls on cars at the dealership I work at, and eventually get more dealership business, setting off a chain of events to a well thought out plan.

I've got 6.5's for my Griot's and it seems to turn them just fine. I know the preferred pad around here is a 5.5, and maybe it depends on your polisher, but mine's doing a great job. That BOGO on the 6.5's makes the decision a little easier too.
