I'm looking for a better way to do book keeping. Who, that is in business for themselves, do their own books?

What do you use? Computer or good old fashioned pen and paper?

Weekly or monthly?

Any software recommended for the computer that can be customized to put in what I want?

Just curious.

i no quick books is good...i just do a spread sheet right now...im going to get quick books soon

Quicken / Quickbooks

Accountants love the reports I give them...

Is there a certain one?
Does it track you expenses, deposits, income, bank account balances, etc...?

how much do you know about accounting?
If you have a general understanding and can set up a chart of accounts I would recomend simply accounting, once you get the hang of it, its easier to use

Yes,yes, yes, yes and gives you a profit and loss statement. Very user friendly.

not all of it.... sad but true.

I really need enroll in some more in depth classes at the local college here to get up to speed. Right now though, I'm looking for something different, yet user friendly to get my out of the stone age. Looks like manysay Quickbooks
