Where are the tickets!?!

When are leaving Christchurch for LA? LA to Florida? Just trying to get my head around the time involved along with the super big date/time differences.

Haha - tickets, along with passports etc are locked n loaded in a sure not to forget place.

Not 100% on the times as just woke up & getting ready for work on our Monday morning but will confirm when I get home tonight. :props:

We leave Blenheim at around 1:30pm Thursday 22nd. (for us) A bit of a wait in Auckland before we leave the country bound for LA at 7:15pm. Arrive in LA some time around 10:30am (local time) . . . more waiting, until we head for Fort Lauderdale at 1:00pm. Then we should get in to Fort Lauderdale at 9:00pm.

Think thats how it all goes Bill.

That's about 14 hours (if I did the arithmetic properly) flying...me thinks your arms are going to be sore after all that flapping...LOL!

I'm unsure on the arithmetic also but I know its ages. Kinda like the temps you get Bill - minus any number in fahrenheit is really cold in celsius! Way too cold!

This is it Bill - the last sleep before we start our journey to Boot Camp. 14 & a bit hours from now. Wow! Scary stuff. Stomach is filled with butterflies (don't recall eating them though) & mind is going flat stick trying to remember everything to pack. Do have the tickets Bill. :dblthumb2:

Best I get some sleep before the longest Thursday I may ever have.

Will touch base with you & all the AGO family as soon as we can.

With almost 150 replies and almost 8000 views at the time I'm posting this reply this trip has been a long time coming!

You and everyone else will be the first class to use the new Show Car Garage and I think you're going to like it.

Nick and I have been setting up for the class this weekend and everything is coming together for a top notch experience.

Plus... the first car for this class has arrived!

I have no doubt at all that all the work that went in to getting to Boot Camp will be worth it.

The new Show Car Garage looks amazing & I can't wait to get in there & do some work . . . would love to bring the garage home with me but its a bit more than I can pack in a suitcase. :props:

1st step of our journey complete.
Currently at the airport in Auckland awaiting our boarding call for our flight to Los Angeles. Can't believe its real . . . even with counting down for so long!

Lets hope I can sleep some on this flight.

I made it my friend, I'm in one heck of a MASSIVE country! Wow this place is BIG! An eye opener for us little Kiwi's for sure.

We made it to the Marriot at 3am this morning. A little later & a whole lot more stressful & fast paced than we had hoped but we are here, safe & excited. :props:

Our flight out of Auckland . . . we were taxiing down the runway & then there was a medical emergency, so had to return to the gate, offload said sick person, refuel etc etc (1300 litres of fuel just doin' that don't ya know) The pilot said he would put the hammer down for us to try & regain some time - even passed another Air New Zealand flight that left before us somewhere over the Pasific! Go the big Hobbit plane!:dblthumb2:

Made it to La an hour late, which in turn made us late for our connecting flight to Florida. Had to get two more flights - LA to Dallas (Man! I thunked LAX was big - Dallas . . . ###!?) & then Dallas to Fort Lauderdale. We made it though, thats the main thing. All our bags too. :xyxthumbs:

Just going to cruise a bit today & relax. So happy to be here! :dblthumb2:

Two more cars arrived this morning...



The first car is a 1963 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible that arrived yesterday.

the next two vehicles are a 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL500 and a 1971 Chevy Long Bed Truck.

I made it to Stuart, checked into the hotel this evening and ran into Aaryn and his family. They sure had a long journey and I thought I had a long day on airplanes. Can't wait for tomorrow morning.
