Bottle Tops Sizes and Finishes

I love Menzerna polishes, but I do not like the caps on their 16oz products. I much prefer the caps on the 32 oz bottles of Menzerna. U.S Plastics have all kinds of options for replacement caps to purchase, but there are many sizes and varieties. I have purchased a couple to try and replace my 16oz bottle caps but none of them fit. Has anyone been able to determine the correct size and finish of the 16oz Menzerna Bottle necks? It should be something like this: 24/410 or 28/410 or 18/400 etc.
 
Just measure the diameter and go from there. The first number is what you need those are diameters in mm. For example a 38/400 is a 38mm diameter for the neck with I believe a 400mm tube for the bottle. US plastics is awesome by the way, you can find anything there but shipping is insane IMHO
 
I was hoping someone had already done that. I find it hard to measure the opening of a bottle in mm
 
Well its not that hard but 1.5in is 38mm and 1in is 28mm and so on and so on. If you can't convert google is your best friend.
 
Is the diameter measuring the inner diameter or the outer diameter? And if it's the outer diameter, is it measuring outside of the threads or just measuring the diameter of the neck and not counting the extra couple of mm's of thickness that the threads add to the overall diameter?

I'm waaaay too OCD to ever be economically efficient as a pro detailer.... sigh
 
It is the diameter of the outside of the threads. I have measured my bottles and I cant find a replacement cap anywhere. I come up with a diameter of 26mm. Which is not a normal size. Sizes usually go from 24 - 28mm, I haven't been able to find anything in-between. I have tried some 24mm & 28mm caps on the menzerna bottles and they wont fit. 24 is too small and 28 is too big. So I am not sure what size cap will work on the 16oz Menz bottles. If anybody has been able to find a replacement cap, let me know what size you used.
