I had been wanting to replace our 20" crappy RCA TV in the bedroom for a while and finally bit the bullet.

I present to you my new Sony KDL-40S2400. I love it so far! AG has never looked so big as on this 40" screen!

I also purchased the Sony DVP-NS3100ES DVD player, but it was on backorder so I don't have it yet.

You can also see my Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse, that way I can browse the internet from in my bed. LOVE IT!!!

I'm awaiting that day I finally get my new TV. Mine almost caught on fire about a month ago.. :mad:

Picking up a Sony XBR.. not sure the exact size or model yet.
 
I just got my father the 40inch Wega Edition, looks darn near the same except the frame is silver. Now you need a PS3 to see some 1080i ....

How you gonna see yourself in the mirror ???

That Sony DVD player I bought will upconvert to 720p which should be nice! I wanted to get the 1080p Sony XBR, but honestly, there is no point having that in the bedroom.

And in regards to the mirror, well, we have quite a few around the house!!! I was going to take this one down but I didn't want to risk damaging it and finding storage for it in the attic... But this way, I can clearly see where all my connections are in the back of the TV!!!

What do you think of your dell notebook?

I am using one now and I HATE IT. It only starts up 45% of the time, the rest of the time the Locks just flash rapidly and then turn off.

Also does your video out work? Mine always goes to B/W when I use a TV.
 
Very nice...is that the reflection of your self..I noticed that it's supposed to do two things, watch TV and see your reflection when your getting ready lol...

Well, I sort of have to like Dell notebooks otherwise I probably wouldn't be able to do my job very wel! ;)

But apart from that, I do like my Dell notebook a lot. I have a Latitude D600 for work and bought myself an Inspiron 600m, and then bought my wife one too. Personally, the trick is to buy a business class laptop at Dell. Buy one of those and you won't be able to go wrong with it.

What do you have?

Nice choice. My cheapo upconvert sony DVD player upconverts to 1080i. Too bad blue ray is too expensive right now to justify going to 1080p. It looks awesome in the store though.
 
If you're gonna get a blu ray player, might as well get a PS3. I read in Electronic Gaming Monthly that blu ray players are gonna be more expensive than a PS3.
 
The good thing is that hopefully someone should be coming out with a decent HD DVD / BluRay DVD combo player. Sony is releasing a BluRay player this summer that should be around the $500 mark...
 
I saw a Toshiba HD-DVD at CC this week for 399.99 with several free discs included. Prices are coming down, but it appears that Blu-Ray might win this one from the releases to date. (more than 10 times the discs are available)
