Boy Scouts Troop 840 - Award to Autogeek for Automotive Merit Badge


Last Tuesday night it was my honor to accept an award from the Boy Scouts Troop 840 and the Assistant Scout Master Steve Fleischman for our class on Automotive Maintenance to help the Scouts earn their Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge.

Back in October of 2014 Troop 840 came to Autogeek to learn about automotive maintenance both mechanical and cosmetic. Our 3 hour class helped each of the Boy Scouts to earn their Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge!

Nice to see young people learning something like this and its nice to see something traditional going on out there still :dblthumb2:
 
My son is a Wolf in Pack 224 Lake Worth. I hope he continues beyond Cub Scout to become a Boy Scout and participate in a program like this.

Congratulations to Mike and the boys who participated for the valuable experience they gained while earning their merit badge!

Very Cool Mike! It's great to be able to mentor todays youth, at least the ones who appreciate it.

As an Eagle Scout myself, thank you for spending the time with them. Society tries so hard to tell them scouting "isn't cool" that many drop out.
