I also don't think these forums would be too helpful with information exchange. Everyone would seem to have a bias. I don't know about everyone else here, but I've witnessed and participated in quite a few threads over at Autopia which turned into personal attacks because somebody didn't agree with someone on the best wax/sealant/polish...etc.

Everyone has different opinions. As long as you don't try to jam one brand down peoples throats. I have no problem trying different stuff. I have many carnubas sitting in my cabinet. I've tried different sealants, and didn't like many of them. I settled on wolfgang DGPS. Zaino is pretty good too.

I mostly use menzerna polishes, and wolfgang. I've never had an issue. So if it isn't broke don't fix it. But I do want to give megs 105 another try, and try 205(I hear it's damn good). I'll wait till my stash is low before I'll buy it.

I think I sample QD's the most(megs, pinnicle, wolfgang, chemical guys and etc). The only one I still want to try is FK425
 
I want to try fk 425 as well and will have more opinions about Wolfgang vs. Zaino by Sunday! Can't wait to try Fuzion on Sunday.

That's one area I need to sample a little more on....what's your favorite QD?

Right now crystal mist and chemical guys synthetc QD. I'm trying wolfgang detail spritz this week. I kinda like it too. ONR didn't have that pop I like. Neither did Megs UQD. Zaino Z6 is good. I haven't tried the Z8 yet.

QD's are like carnubas! There are so many out there. Either you like one or you don't. I like the thick lubricating QD's to help eliminate marring. I think Z6 is more of a shine enhancer, not a touch up cleaner. Though it gives a great shine. Same with FK425 I hear. I think it's cleaning ability of FK was a 3 on a scale of 10 on their site. But a 10 on shine.

Cool, thanks! I plan to try out some at DF if I can. Currently Last Touch gets the most use, but I really liked Z6 too (got to order more). :cheers:
 
I use and buy what I think will do the best job, and then some...until run out of money. :D
 
People have different results from different brands. Use what works for use no matter the brand...many are here at AG.
 
I could not make it sticking to one brand and besides it would be like eating the same thing three times every day 365.
 
Mmmmmmm Toro, Hamachi, and Maguro....... Excuse me I need to get a towel to clean up the drool.
 
I do not limit myself to one brand. If I had to choose, I think it would be Poorboy's....or Duragloss. Both offer a wide range of products at great prices. I use many other brands as well though. No single company has the best everything.
 
I would say Menzerna too. But since they are limited I'll go with Pinnacle Products! Has anyone checked out the Total Pro's Car Wash System. I was told this is the new craze in Waterless Car Washing. Does anyone have one?
 
I use to use all Chemical Guys Products but I think they lossed their focus on the little guy. I am now split Between Meguiars & Poorboys. Meguiars has the most extensive brand from detail tools, polishers, pads, microfiber & of course all their great paint treatment products. I use about $200 to $300 dollars worth of chemicals a month and have never not used Meguiars to some extent. So my choice would be MEGUIARS !!
 
Wolfgang would be my brand in this case. Awesome polishes (3.0) made by Menzerna, which work even better then Menzerna, thanks to added oils. Awesome paint sealant, super-easy application, and 3.0 version is quite more durable then previous one. And finally Fuzion - simply Crystal Rock jr. One of the best waxes out there, and I think its underrated. Very nice interior products too, especially leather conditioner.
 
Thread revival. If I had to stick with one brand for all my detailing products, I would go with Meguiar's. They make just about everything a person needs. Although not all of their products are No. 1 in their respective category or class, they will all perform well and have never disappointed me. I love that they have a complete line. I own a lot of products, from many different companies, but I've found that this product line is strong all around. I find myself recommending these products more often than any other brand because I know they'll perform for the user, and they are readily available just about anywhere (especially online.)

If I had to go with a second brand, I'd choose Chemical Guys products. They're widely available and they make a lot of stuff. All the products I've used in their line have worked well for me.

I'm not saying you should use only one brand, trying out different products is really half the fun of this hobby/ profession. What I do feel is important is finding a system that works for you and running with it. Systems are important, and will usually work best with each other or at the very least won't make things so complicated:dblthumb2:.

i would have to say PINNACLE!!!! ive tryed most of there line of products .and havnt had 1 let me down ..

I'm with you on CG's line except they would be my first choice. I really wish they'd hit the compound/polish market harder though.

One company may specialize in milling abrasives. Another may specialize in basing their wash and wax products on the chemistry of paint. And yet another may have a long history of developing the best metal polishes.

I would say if you are looking at picking one line Wolfgang would be a great choice! They have so many different great products as it seems they add the best of many different things to the lineup. To simplify greatly I would choose Optimum but you would have to go out of the line here and there for a couple products not offered.
