Brand new black corvette...

check out Mike's thread on new car care.
Products, well since I have a 2103 Black ride and have tried a few combos, here you go:
CG Blacklight topped with CG 50/50
Wolfgang 3.0 topped with Fuzion, see pic, dripping wet!!
Black Fire Wet Diamond Polymer Spray is my favorite maintenance spray for Black, it's fantastic imho.
And I'm going to try:
Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish and Black Ice next time around, and with these two on big time sale through the end of the week might be a good time. You missed the Wolfgang sale last week.
This is WG 3.0 and WG Fuzion
I have a car coming soon as well. I am torn here. Obviously, I would prefer the dealer to not touch the paint. However, this is assuming there are no major defects from the factory.
Not allowing the dealer to do their own paint inspection upon arrival could possibly leave you responsible for any major issues - How would you convince them it came from the factory in a damaged condition and not by your hand? At the very least, I could see a dealer saying 'well you didn't let us inspect the car properly.'

You peel the plastic off in front of them, bust out the brinkman and go over the car inch by inch. Done.
When I bought mine last year I did that. I missed some scratches on the wheels (looked like the person driving it off the hauler scratched them up) I took it back a few days later and got four brand new wheels.

Follow Mike's advice and you're set. When I got my new truck, I washed, clayed, used SSR1, and DP Poliseal and Max Wax. The dealer even did a good job when they cleaned it. (It was done before they called me to say it was in).

Had you read this before you ordered the Vette?
DON'T WASH CAR !!!!!!!!!!!
If not... be sure to read it before taking your Corvette back to the dealership for servicing or you'll end up with a swirled out mess on your hands.
Machine all the way. It's so much easier and faster to maintain your car's paint using a simple Porter Cable dual action polisher.
Watch this video, towards the end I show how to machine apply a wax and how to CAREFULLY wipe it off. Remember, clear coats might be hard but they are SCRATCH-SENSITIVE - This means they scratch easily but getting the scratches is out is a lot of work, (because the paint is hard).
So ANYTHING you do or touch the car with needs to be of the highest quality you can obtain.
Whatever you do... don't skimp on abrasive technology. This means don't skimp on any compounds or polishes. Clear coats show all defects on dark colors and if you want to be happy with how the paint on your Vette looks then only use the best abrasive technology money can buy.

P21S Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser
Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3.0
Pinnacle SSII Carnauba
For Polishing if needed I have like Menzerna Super Intensive and Super Finish 4500.
Very easy products to work with returning great depth and beauty.
There are so many great combo's you can choose so have fun with it and if you have a great experience with something new let us know.

Going to Bud's in St. Mary's, Ohio tomorrow to take a test-drive in one of theirs.
They have 9 left in stock...
