Very nice forum, and interesting, educated people.

I have a quick question:

I just bought my first 'nice' car - been driving hand-me-downs and beaters mostly for the last 20 years.

I'm very interested in keeping this daily driver in top shape. I can handle the interior detailing, but I'm flummoxed by the multitude of options for keeping this car spotless on the outside.

Can you folks reply with a general rundown, or point me to a good thread that describes a standard cleaning protocol for your daily driver?

Wash---Clay---Polish---Protect.

wash - Poorboy's SS&S, Optimum, DP.
Clay - Pinnacle Ultra Poly clay, DP, Wolfgang
Polish - Menzerna polishes (PO106FF)
Protect - Sealant for a daily driver is a must, something durable like Duragloss #601 followed up by #105. Carnauba wax (12-24 hours after sealant) - DP Max Wax, or Pinnacle Souveran.
