Brand New White Car

Isn't Klasse AIO and Autoglym Super Resin Polish in the same category as AIO's? If I'm not mistaken, Autoglym cleans, polishes and seals. I did read that Klasse gives a car more shine but ASRP gives it a darker deeper look.

I just bought a brand new white car myself, still contemplating on going with DG 105 and its line of products since it's praised and light on my pockets. Or Poorboy's EX-P and their Natty Blue. I was also thinking of Klasse AIO, which was a product I was initially going to buy and top it off with liquid souveran but $30 a bottle may just turn me away. If I go with Klasse, is their SG mandatory? Or can I obtain better results with collinite 845 or S100? I want that gloss wet look but want it protected well for a long time as well especially with winter and lots of rain around the corner.
Klasse AIO can be used with anything you want. It's a chemical cleaner with very little protection left behind so you need a protectant. If price is an issue Duragloss can acheive the result you are after. 845 is a hard working carnuaba and can take you 4 month in between application (depending on car soap being used and climate).

:iagree: in fact DG#105 is awesome on white.

I would clay the car, use XMT 360 on a white pad ( orange wont be necassary, its a new car ) then top it off with liquid souveran. XMT 360 + Liquid Souveran looks great on white.

white is such a hard color to make look wet and keep clean, but when done right absolutely rocks. Keep an eye on Gary, he's had a couple real tasty shots in white.

I think on the polish you only have to do that every 6 months, not every month. I think the wax you can do every 3-4 months. Just use something like Crystal Mist as a QD.

I try to polish my cars as little as possible. I try to do all I can to prevent swirls and light scraches in the first place. Using and 2 bucket wash method, good micro fiber towels, the ShMitt and a leaf blower all really help. When you are on a forum like this it's easy to get the impression that people are always polishing their cars because there are a lot of threads about polishing. The professional detailers are always polishing cars but it's different customers cars every week. A lot of times I might get a small area on one of my cars with some light scraches. I will just polish that area without polishing the whole car.

The only point I'm trying to make is if it don't need polished don't polish it. You will only be taking off a little clearcoat. Do all you can to prevent swirls in the first place.

Light coloured paint:
Lighter colour paints (i.e. Silver, White, etc (the exception is speed yellow) will never obtain jetting (the so called ‘wet-look’) of black or dark colours as they do not exhibit visible depth, light colours tends to refract light instead of reflecting it. You can obtain a good gloss provided the paint is good quality and if it’s prepared and detailed correctly; washed, cleaned (detailer’s clay) polished and a polymer sealant added (Zaino, Klasse AIO and SG, Jeffswerkstatt - Acrylic Jett ) these sealants will provide a flat silvery-white shine, but without ‘depth’. By adding a Carnauba wax as an LSP (Pinnacle Souverän Paste Carnauba or Autoglym Super Resin Polish)the oils that are formulated in the Carnauba waxes provide a reflective gloss, which causes jetting (a ‘wetting’ of the surface)

For optimal results the surface of a light coloured paint to show gloss is very much dependant upon good / excellent paint condition, adequately prepped to remove contaminants and minor imperfections. Detailer’s clay (Sonus SFX Ultra-Fine Detailing Clay Bar) and / or Paint cleaner (Zaino PC or Klasse AIO) should be a regular part of the preparation process.
TOGWT, you have alot of knowledge on products and good info and I do agree with your post.
I'm just letting you know Duragloss #105 has wetness and deepness like a wax IMO. Give it a try.
