Just found this forum a few days ago, recommended from another entusiast site. Having spent just a few ( hours ? ) here I knew I was in the right spot. I really appreciate the depth and breadth of knowledge here - - along with a willingness to share.

I had a day off yesterday, and it was cloudy & cool outside, so natch I grab some product and get busy. I've uploaded a few shots in the gallery under "happpyboy".
I am still relying on elbow grease for the most part, but have a 10" pad that does all the finish work. Christmas is coming and I am dropping crazy hints about some upgraded tools. . . .

Good to be here.

:welcome: to AGO... where in sc are you from? I want to know where its cloudy and cool.. still 90 here

Like you, HHI. Yesterday felt like fall . . don't know where it went but definitely ready for more. Nice beemer, especially the Gamecock part.

Welcome to AGOL from another South Carolinian...:xyxthumbs:

Welcome aboard happpyboy. I lived 4 years in SC (Sumter and Ladys Island) as kid in the mid-70's. I remember the humidity, the food, and the great fishing. Felt like fall in mid-September? That's different. I'm sure you'll enjoy this forum.

Thanks Stuttgarter. Yeah, after the beastly summer maybe the cool break the other day was 50% being off for the day. How's Germany treating you? My dad was stationed there off & on from '68 to '82, . . mostly Heilbronn area. Last tour put us in Vilseck- Grafenwohr.

Up on North street,- - knew the chef & was hoping the place was still doing well.

Thats one mean clown. Where did you find him?

Can't remember were I found him. Will keep Oscar's in mind, love steak and shrimp dishes mmmmmm.

Update
I went to Oscar's tonight, thats a nice seafood/steak restaurant. Tilapia and Shrimp dish was excellent.
They weren't very busy though for a Saturday night. My neighbor said they are normally packed by 6pm but there was lots of open parking spaces. Killer long Island ice teas and properly cooked shrimp (hard to find) will get me to go back.

Good stuff!!
They used to do entertainment on wkends, and yeah, the barman really doesn't hold back. Thanks for the update, glad to hear they're still kickin it.
