Curious to opinions on branding when it comes to products. Everyone that has a website or any type of advertising, do you think it is important to use brand names? For example I have visited numerous websites that use specific brand names, for example, Meguiars Polymer Sealant, Optimum opti-coat, Detailers Pride Coatings, Nanoskin, etc etc. Do you think its more important for customers to know your using premium products, even though they might just google them and pick them up off autogeek themselves? Just building business ideas. You could argue that people who see these brands (with exception to maybe meguiars) dont recognize them anyways.

Most customers probably have no clue or cares about brands. They just want results

just explain that I dont use the crap at auto zone or walmart

This is a flawed statement, which held true like 4-5 years ago. Not anymore. You can find many pro series Meguiars at local stores, and the entire line of Griots Garage now. Imagine that.

They could google some brands, and theyll come back to you because only a professional detailers can get the RIGHT results.

A perfect example of this is the guys who are CQuartz Finest & Opti-Coat pro authorized. Sure an average joe can buy the standard coatings, but whos going to maximize them?

I actually have a customer who has quite the fleet of high end vehicles and every time I clean/correct/detail his cars he wants to know what products I am using. Strange thing is, he will buy the products, use the products to try them out and then hand them down to me. I think it is great, he enjoys detailing but just does it as a hobby. I enjoy sharing my knowledge to feed his hobby.
