Was at the 3D Car Care SEMA party and it was announced that PBMG has acquired Autopia.org. Jason from PBMG announced that the forums will be merged together!

I think this is a huge step in the right direction as AutopiaForums has carried on the legacy established with information and education that has been synonymous with the Autopia brand since the late 1990s!

Awesome, I am looking forward to seeing how things play out in the future!

for those who don't know, autopia.org is the original enthusiast
car care forum that's been around for a long time...
 
Hopefully all of the older content will be transferred and remain searchable once it is merged

Agreed. I saw a lot of quality content and when the chat room was going it attracted a lot of great members and info.
 
Lots of good old schoolers over there. Also love the ability to discuss all products. I wouldn't say it needs cleaning up. I think it needs some owner involvement. As much as I like 3D products, they did squat for the forum.
 
This is a surprise to hear. Didn't ever think these 2 would merge. It'll be interesting to follow this merger into the future. Any word on whether the URL will be the same or if it'll change names?
 
.org seems to already be gone from TAPATALK. For the last 24 hrs - this is all I get:

I am getting the same thing on Tapatalk and the web. I wasn't sure of the time frame of the merger. It will be exciting to bring back the old "Autopia ".
 
Asked David Fermani about it last night and he said its just down momentarily for some maintenance and will be back up
 
Site is down while we update and merge, please be patient we will have it all back up soon.
 
I think the sponsors portion will be interesting. I'll keep watch from a distance as usual.

I'm not sure if you noticed but AutopiaForums set up a vendor sub-forum a few months ago, which even seems to include the old Poorboy's forum from the DC days.
 
Is there anyone that would be willing to get in touch with a mod at AF for me? I've been waiting for a few days for my account to get approved. Haven't gotten any kind if registration email or anything, not sure what the deal is
