foamed the mustang, 2 caps rest of the quart filled with warm water (cg wash+gloss)

however I'd like to figure out how to get "foamier foam" that also sticks better and please do not recommend a foam cannon, its not an option right now.

1cap for 5+gallons cg wash +gloss performed incredibly, best soap I've ever used :xyxthumbs::dblthumb2::props:

Sonax, the most overrated product I've used to date, mothers and cg diablo sticky gel blew this away for a fraction of the cost and more versatile and no odor / good odors, sonax smells terrible and performed mediocre at best for me..

diablo gel 1:3 worked well with agitation, I think it would be much better with a better foaming nozzle, which cg didn't supply..

some of the products used

ferret performed well for what it is, rinsed very easily as well

the wheel brush was good as well

my tirescrubber is great for what it does as always

lugnut brush was too big for my lugs

fenderwell brush does its job, nothing impressive

mothers wheel+tire, really impressed me, incredible product..

tried out cg synthetic qd and clay lubricant, thumbs down on this one, hopefully Luber can redeem cg on this one, also I'm getting some streaking even after wiping, how could I remedy that or is it the product?

Good write up.
Great pics.
No love for CG, never tried any of their products...EAST SIDE FOR LIFE.

Its been really hit or miss with CG for me. I like their microfibers, they do good on polishes(p40), and a few things but not so good on things like quick detailer(excluding v7) and compounds. Mothers has pretty good OTC products like the california gold line but I still prefer megs. Great write up, nice stang as well

I'm not sure how big a "cap" is on the CG product, but for my foammaster I almost have to put in a full 2 oz for every 8oz of water to get maximum suds. DP extreme foam works well, or CG maxi-suds if you want to stick with CG. But 2 caps doesn't seem like near enough for a full quart (32oz).

For the most part, I agree. I've used their V34/V37 and thought the combo was lacking to say the least. Then again, maybe I'm just getting much better at using the M105/205 combo effectively and my opinion is partially biased. Then again, maybe not since I also really liked the optimum compound and polish..

I stick with CG MF towels, Washes, and a few glazes/sealants

OP - What are running under the hood of that Mustang? Just curious. You have some nice appearance mods going, I like those wheels!

Your second pic was yesterday. Same PepBoys bucket with same bottle of CG shampoo. It gave me déjà vu.

Nice write-up. I currently use Purple Power for wheels and tires. I was going to try some of the Sonax tire and wheel cleaner after seeing it discussed in some other forums. I think I'll pass on that one now. Mothers Wheel/Tire looks like a good product.

Thanks, why not? You need to try a bottle of their wash atleast, they definitely have some good stuff

Yeah I agree with you although I have yet to try their polishes, and yeah mothers is always a solid product, I like Meg's detailed line but don't care for some of their OTC stuff, especially Meg's gold wash I believe it's over rated. Thanks and thank you

I dont have the bottle near me ATM but iirc a cap is an ounce and I'd you go an oz per gallon it'll strip lsp, regular wash is 1 oz 4-5 gallons, either way I'll try it more concentrated next time Although I think I'm going to try their "honeydew" wash

Yeah a lot of mixed opinions on the v series but most say just stick with 105/205, which is what I'll be doing, but yeah what you stick with in their line are their strongest products, what are your favorites?

Thank you and lol well if you must know
I've had this one for about half a year so far
Jlt CAI
Steeda udps
Sct tuned
4.10s frpp gears
Slp lm1s catback
For future performance springs and suspension later, midpipe ( pro chamber ) maybe long tubes, flsfc, and then topped with a kenne bell sc

But right now I'm focused on visual so I have a satin black spoiled ready to go on, chin spoiler, bumper inserts, painted my side mirrors, need to tint it, lower it (h&r Ss)

Painted mirrors drying, and idk there's probably other stuff I'm forgetting atm
Love the write up. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks

I don't quite understand lol

Thanks for comments. I was surprised to see your feedback on CG detail spray.

I have their v7 which I have high hopes for, do not have luber yet, both should outperform this product, I think this product is a decent qd, but should not be advertised as a clay lubricant

Nice review!

How did you find the performance of the Sticky Gel? I've used it at 1:5 like it says on the bottle but I found it only worked well on lightly-to-moderately dirty wheels. I didn't find it to be effective on really dirty wheels.

How do the Mothers and Diablo compare?

What a turn-around!!
Looks as though the CG products worked wonders on removing all of that "Blue Contamination" in the first photo above...:D
BTW: Love the hue (that was previously hidden?!?) of the Mustang in the second photo above!!

The rims and the tires came out really nice

Thanks :)

thanks I appreciate all the feedback from you guys, inspiring me to review a lot of the other products I've recently acquired lol
I diluted it 1:5 and like you said I believe it will only be good to light to moderate wheels, honestly the mothers wheel and tire is one of the best products I have ever used, a gallon is on my to get list, in ranking Mothers was lapping diablo and sonax wheel cleaner broke down. lol Although I'd like to try diablo in a foaming nozzle but even then it won't be as versatile and efficient as mothers, however it was much more economical I'll get atleast 3 bottles out of the cg 16 oz, whereas the mothers is just..one bottle ready to go.

What a turn-around!!

lol yeah all of that blue over spray, however speaking of over spray once this video uploads I'll post some pictures of the over spray I removed today with a Mothers Claybar

Round 2

Things came up yesterday, so was unable to finish claying, overnight it rained and a lot of junk decided to settle on the mustang, so I saw this as a great opportunity to try a higher concentration in the foam gun although I'm worried that with this soap I'd be stripping lsp if there was any I was worried about on the car, anyway here is a short clip of my cg foam gun in action with cg wash+gloss 4-5 caps in the quart with warm water, no settings to use, blue filter (recommended as most common)
Click car to play (The picture below)

Click above to play ^

Overall I'm happy with it, its a cool cheap product 60 shipped for a foamgun w/ 3 soaps, I wish I could get the foam to dwell longer, hopefully I'll figure out a good soap/ratio combo
449c4a56.jpg

Finished claying the car, I will say the cg qd/lube slightly redeemed itself when mixed with standing water on the vehicle, i also wasn't worried about streaking this time, I just left it because I wasn't going to have the time to wax today nor did I really want to, I'm going to go with blacklight topped with buttery for this round

Random - CG Wash+Gloss beading (when I came out to get started)

became extremely..sticky..
7537f864.jpg

once the cg lube was depleted switched to a bottle of megs qd I had, performed better than the CG lube and wasn't impressed by this, but it did what it was supposed to, decent product but I'm looking for better

More reviews coming tomorrow (more than likely)
