Breaking some product in (pictures)

Yeah a lot of mixed opinions on the v series but most say just stick with 105/205, which is what I'll be doing, but yeah what you stick with in their line are their strongest products, what are your favorites?

Thank you and lol well if you must know
I've had this one for about half a year so far
Jlt CAI
Steeda udps
Sct tuned
4.10s frpp gears
Slp lm1s catback
For future performance springs and suspension later, midpipe ( pro chamber ) maybe long tubes, flsfc, and then topped with a kenne bell sc

But right now I'm focused on visual so I have a satin black spoiled ready to go on, chin spoiler, bumper inserts, painted my side mirrors, need to tint it, lower it (h&r Ss)
Painted mirrors drying, and idk there's probably other stuff I'm forgetting atm

Thanks

I don't quite understand lol

Nice mods!

Honestly, I just tried Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover today and I think I'm in love... It worked fantastic was overall much easier than working M105 imo. I'm going to include it in my next order for sure. Other than that, I'm a typical autogeek I guess you could say. I'm a big menzerna fan, probably my favorite product brand overall besides swissvax. My wallet likes menzerna better though!

thanks, any mods down to the vette or transam?

lol really you liked it that much? will it produce the same results as m105? I always hear such good and bad things about 105, from what I've read menz doesnt really get any bad reviews, which is impressive, as for swissvax I doubt I'll ever try their products, I haven't really looked at their pricing but all I hear about is their 100+ dollar wax, and I'm a bang for buck kind of guy and I feel there are plenty of waxes that can perform for well under that, most expensive wax on my to get list atm is lava coming in at 69

Round 2

Things came up yesterday, so was unable to finish claying, overnight it rained and a lot of junk decided to settle on the mustang, so I saw this as a great opportunity to try a higher concentration in the foam gun although I'm worried that with this soap I'd be stripping lsp if there was any I was worried about on the car, anyway here is a short clip of my cg foam gun in action with cg wash+gloss 4-5 caps in the quart with warm water, no settings to use, blue filter (recommended as most common)

Overall I'm happy with it, its a cool cheap product 60 shipped for a foamgun w/ 3 soaps, I wish I could get the foam to dwell longer, hopefully I'll figure out a good soap/ratio combo

Finished claying the car, I will say the cg qd/lube slightly redeemed itself when mixed with standing water on the vehicle, i also wasn't worried about streaking this time, I just left it because I wasn't going to have the time to wax today nor did I really want to, I'm going to go with blacklight topped with buttery for this round

Random - CG Wash+Gloss beading (when I came out to get started)

once the cg lube was depleted switched to a bottle of megs qd I had, performed better than the CG lube and wasn't impressed by this, but it did what it was supposed to, decent product but I'm looking for better

More reviews coming tomorrow (more than likely)

any input on what happened w/ my clay?

fine for storing product in?

yeah the luber, i've only heard good things about luber, they must make the purple product to make the luber (blue) seem even better.. lol the purple product would probably be okay as a qd, not a good clay lube like advertised though

All these write ups with CG soaps make me really want to try some out. I might have to add some to my AG order that is on back order...

i've never used it, could you compare it to v7?

i have never used them side by side I used the p40 a few months ago. Im currently using the V7 i think the V7 gives the paint more shine and slickness

The Vette is 100% stock for right now, trying to place nice with the factory warranty. The Trans Am has an 408ci LS2 stroker setup with aftermarket everything. Probably invested about three times what the actual car is worth into building the drivetrain!

Anyways, yes I was that impressed with the TSR. I found it very easy to work and that it finished down just as nicely, if not better than M105. I look at it as a nice alternative to M105 and a great arsenal in any detailers shelf. As far as your wax preference is concerned, I cannot blame you. For every $200+ wax there are three waxes under $75 that are just as good of value, if not better value. I only ordered one container of the swissvax concorso and all I can say about is that I will never let that container run empty. Its hands down the best wax product I've ever used and I will promptly reorder when I run low. I've also used the swissvax onyx, and I can tell you it is easily in a class of its own and only a little over $100. Next time you're looking to make an impulse buy, check it out. You wont regret it!

lol yeah i understand although it sucks financially its the right decision, as for the trans am i bet thats fun, built for street or?

I appreciate the input, I'll have to give these products a try eventually, although when/if the time comes I try a 70+ wax I really hope I'm not disappointed lol

i can imagine that, how much does p40 run for 16 oz

well i work down the street from the CG warehouse so i get it for like $9

lol, jealous should take a video of a normal day there/walkthrough

Thank you for your reviews.

As a side note of your results i'm glad to see that OTC products are holding their own. It is good to know that you can run to the local store to pick up quality product as needed.

:iagree:

Any more feedback on getting your foam to dwell longer? I have been trying a bunch of products (CG CWG, OCW, DP Extreme Foam) at all sorts of ratios and I cannot get as much foam as I was hoping for (minus getting a cannon).
